  1. dam that's not fair i want mine to arrive,
  2. there are plenty more corsas out there if you that way inclined, its not worth it id walk away.
  3. paint is a much better finish (if done properly) i've had my zed looked at by both a vinyl wrapper and a body-shop, and i've been quoted about the same for each, (going metallic gold *OEM gold) wrapping wont be door shuts or boot etc, and they can only get certain colors. and if the body's not perfect will show all the marks, where as paint they strip the car first so any marks can be sorted for a much smoother finish
  4. yeah egr is a common fault on some new Nissans and very expensive if not under warranty,
  5. no but im going to brands on the 8th of July have you got track time?
  6. going from a true Japanese muscle car like the 300 and into a 350 you'll feel the need to add some power, tighten the suspension and it will become an even bigger money pit... and one day a 300 will pull along side you and you'll regret ever selling yours... this is from experience "borrowed" a sales 350 while my old zed was off the road, drove it for less then a week before i started hating it. and the 370 is worse. (im sorry all the 350 owners nothing personal just really hate driving them)
  7. RB26DETT conversion to go with a gtr front end?.... :tongue_smilie: think the r35 front end is based an a new shape stagea, but still looks great. a friend of mine used to have one that's why i've wanted one for a while, if you mod them as if its a gts-t skyline you can get some good hp.
  8. i've got one arriving this week but im getting the short ram version to move the intakes into the stock smic position, as i have a huge FMIC so not much space for a conventional setup, will let you know if its any good. there is about a 2 week wait on them as i think they get them direct from selin.
  9. nice choice, i've been thinking of getting one as a daily drive/ workhorse would be interested to know what its like to live with, RB25det?
  10. well according to Nissans system they are different, but they might be close enough to be used.... they are only on the Z32
  11. ah so loosen them from the sub frame? , already got the gearbox lined up and bolted together just need torquing up. thanks ill try that tommorow.
  12. back mount? i've only got 2 at the front? i didn't pull the transmission.
  13. sorry yet another question... got my engine in today (well sort of) spent ages getting the sub-frame back on as it wouldn't line up??? (has now though) its lined up with the auto box and on one of the mounts. has anyone got any suggestions on how to get it onto the second mount? its about an inch to the left of the hole (looking at front of the car) ive tried various lever-bars and lifting the engine in different ways, even tried swearing loudly at it... but it wont go on???? this should be my last question as plan to have it running again tommorow.
  14. that's just wrong.... haha love the zombie squad might have to convert the z into "zedreckoning" (any ones whos seen land of the dead may get that one )
  15. its a VHT paint, normally for exhaust manifolds etc, so that it can take the heat, the gold was a the hardest to get as its hard to find metallic VHT paint. pulling the plenum is fairly straight forward, think there's a how to somewhere, id delete the water hoses under the plenum if you do as it makes it so much easier in future.
  16. the parts came from my spares, and were painted off the car, the engines just out as im fitting some nice turbos... so it seemed like a good time to tidy and fit the painted parts.
  17. thanks guys, just hope i don't scratch it putting it back in the zed now...
  18. o.k. their poor pics and needs another sand and paint, but does this color scheme look a bit much? just decided that next time i break down on a show stand i wont be too embarrassed opening the bonnet no comment on the fact my engine not on a stand the bloody gearbox bolts are too short to fit through the mount:blush:
  19. was the first thing to go, lol oh well might just have a tidy and clean then...
  20. think thats all gone cant see any trace of any of it...
  21. got my engine out now..... what can i bin/ not re-install? already bypass the plenum water pipes, and the EGR. det sensors long since broken so is gone. is there anything else i can do to clean things up under there?
  22. mine did that waiting to get into japfest the pas belt started squealing every time i turned the wheel, think it must be a zed thing to get people looking by any means necessary:thumbup1:
  23. yeah, but its just so embarrassing when your zeds as loud as mine people look then they see plumes of blue smoke... and not from the tires...
  24. thanks for clearing it up, got a bit confused then, meen only 4 bolts and i can fit my new turbos :thumbup1: yay no more smoke...
  25. thanks jeff, do i still need to drop the subframe?
