  1. got something else i've noticed... seems to be taking longer and longer to fire? used to start within a second of turning the key its defiantly taking longer and getting worse... oh no.... im starting to get really worried now.
  2. had a new idea thrown into the mix... leaking manifold or turbo-manifold gasket??? if very slightly loose could explain lack of boost and strange noise??? i used new nissan gaskets everywhere but if one wasn't tight enough... would explain echo through exhaust.

  5. yeah engine was turned over a more then a few times to get the oil circulating before i actually fired it. well watch this space.. i've no money left or holiday left to do this again...this zed and all its new z1 parts will be going up for sale if it is the turbo... :crying:
  6. wouldn't say any more then 3mm, cant really measure. literally finished putting the engine in Friday bought these off a member on here, so it is dead im not sure about what to do next?, as they were sold as low millage turbo Technics stage 2's... and i was promised they were in full working order...
  7. right took the front pipe off and there is some play in the shaft, (up + down only) but more to the point i put a screw driver against the passenger turbo and revved it and there doesn't appear to be whining bit of chatter when i stopped but that was it, same on drivers side, took it for a drive again, and im not 100% but the noise appears to be coming from the back, prob passenger exhaust. so im assuming its an exhaust leak??? or the exhaust wheel on the passenger turbo:scared:.
  8. oil pressure is normal.... in fact its holding much better then before i fitted these turbos, turbos have only just been fitted so hope nothing wrong with them... :blink:.. they are turbo Technic stage 2's ... im not running dump vales at the moment. i've got japspeed elbows and decats, and unknown rear section. i think ill try taking the passenger front pipe off and inspecting the turbo.
  9. avoid parcels2go at all costs i've had nothing but problems with them, including losing a set of alloys,
  10. got another problem now fixed the water leak fixed the blown fuse, and why the stock boost gauge wasn't working now got a new problem my aftermarket gauge is only reading maybe 5psi, doesn't feel like its boosting much at all, and there is a distinctive whine i've never heard before that is in time with the boost, i have still got a few air leaks but cant pin point them, even with a tester, but the whine is concerning me, its not a whistle its a whine. any one got any thoughts?
  11. i know i have an air leak lol... the idle hoses and cracked, but until my silicon set arrives there's not lot i can do. consult flagged S1? does anyone know which side it is? or is it a case of change both? i've just fitted new elbows so i have my old elbows and 02 sensors in my garage.
  12. can an air leak cause consult to flag up an 02 sensor? borrowed consult off work and driving along it falgs up intermitently with a 02 error (S1?) checked the wires and conectors all good, i know i've got a few major leaks as z1 didn't deliver ,my silcon in time so its got the old craked pipes on at the mo... any one got any thought?
  13. thanks i can use the nissan numbers at work monday, they make a huge difference because they weight soooo much less, in the same way the light weight flywheel works. less weight the crank has to spin, didn't expect loads of power just more resonsive...
  14. trial fitted them before i relised the belts were too big, F**ked my idle right up though.
  15. no got them from z1, it didn't say that i needed special belts though... the first of my 2 orders.... they are ridiculously light compared to the std set.
  16. bought some brand new belts for my zed once id fitted the AMS pulleys, and have just realized they are now the wrong size...?? does anyone know which belts i need? (only pas and water pump belts)
  17. i've finally got through to z1, and they have just informed me mine is delayed as selin are making revisions to the units... so anyone thinking of getting one may want to wait until these are done... i don't know any more about what revisions and neither did Z1.

  19. i know but i run a parts dept, and i'd be embarrassed if we treated our customer this way... its just bad business its not the delivery times i knew the USPS would take ages but that's why i ordered it a month ago, however when i payed the extra for something to be sent FedEx 1-3 kinda implies im in a rush, but worse no communication what so ever, its just rude. i'll be phoning them tommorow but its the last time i use them...

  22. had anyone bought from z1 recently? i've ordered 2 sets of bit from them took 4 weeks to deliver the first and still waiting for them to send the second. their customer service is appalling sent repeated e-mails asking for updates on the second order but no response, o.k. the first order was delayed in customs so i'll let them off but i got an email saying second lot would be shipped end of last week but they haven't been... (baring in mind its on fedex 1-3 as i need the parts asap.) anyone got any suggestions on how to get through to them?
  23. my dream car in the right color too.... does anyone want to lend me $90,000? i promise i'll think about paying it back. :tongue_smilie:
