  1. i just meant you need to be careful how hard you push a std engine.
  2. MOT thingy states "The precise position and angle of visibility of direction indicators are not part of this inspection, but they must be on each side of the longitudinal axis of a solo machine. If a side car is attached, the indicators must be on opposite sides of the combination." so assuming its visible from the front and the repeaters work i should be o.k. but i like that idea,
  3. given the size of the turbos what else were you planning to run with them? is it still a std engine? if so then you might want to consider something a bit more tame.
  4. best to upload them to somewhere like photobucket, and then add them with the [ img ] tags. dam too slow again...
  5. this is how my zed looks at the moment... my intakes are behind the indicators (Z1 ram dual intake) so looking to enlarge the hole in the nose. as there's nothing behind it.
  6. im in haywards heath, got any pics of the turbos? best place to get 5 bolt elbows in the state either Z1 or CZP most Nissan have a 3 hole mount on their standard turbos compressors (or at least used to back then) some of the lrg turbos conversions do use silicon though like this one... wow missed 4 posts n the time it took me to write this...
  7. did it on my own on my driveway, its not easy but do-able, as said above label everything, and make sure you use the right bolts when putting it back together, your not far from me, so if you get stuck can always come give you a hand... :thumbup1: cant do anything with mine till i get my new engine finished anyway.
  8. think im going with 2 projectors, (dipped and main. ) and im going to put a indicator/ sidelight in there too so that i have no lights in the bumper at all.
  9. well made the prototype today, needs some more filling and sanding but i kinda like it... once its finished i can make a mould of it then im thinking of making them out of carbon fibre? (well carbon copy just one layer of carbon weave)
  10. probably can give it a go, wont be easy as its so many colours, but i can try what colour?
  11. it was only quick hopefully the real thing will be smoother, hopefully means i can get rid of all lights in my bumper which is good as the indicators block my intakes at the moment. think ill leave at as 3 parts not blend it in,
  12. making a mock up of 1 light at the moment should finish it tomorrow, the lights ill get to put in it are 2 separate units each side, dipped and main, and they both have sidelights built in, just thinking if i have the STD repeaters on the wing, do the indicators need to be on the corners? or could they be built in too? also toying with the idea of making the nose panel and lights all one piece.
  13. got bored this morning so have already started trying to make some. taken moulds of the glass on the headlights, and measured an old nose panel for cutting, i think 2 round 90mm hella lights should do each side (dipped + main). they should just fit and they are road legal so no problems MOT time. thinking if the nose panel made right it should act like an air guide through the top of the radiator. i think the hardest thing will be fighting the urge to put a knight rider style led strip in the hole... :blushing:
  14. anyone seen this before, particularly the front bumper and headlights and centre panel? anyone know who made's them? kinda put some ideas in my head. really tempted to get the fibreglass out and see what i can make... really like the ideas of the headlights.
  15. saw these on a supra, sema motorshow '06 i think
  16. yeah i did the same thing, same intercooler too, just swap the pipes on one side, but mines up the other way??? did you have any problems getting the bumper to fit afterwards?
  17. that whole zeds on ebay at the mo lol.... each to there own and all that, do something different get suicide doors....:thumbup1:
  18. sorry to see this, when i lived in Bolton my zed went through a spell of getting vandalised, lost 2 windows, 3 wing mirrors and a tyre, before eventually the whole zed got nicked... :( at least you got a visit from the police, best i got was a quick phone call. if it was something to do with the previous owner could change the plate? might help... another suggestion put it under a cover then they would have to remove it before they could touch it, more chance of getting a finger print of DNA or something? but sounds like you've made a good choice with the private space and camera. best of luck:thumbup1:
  19. used to know someone called Tearsa Brown,
  20. used to have a Sierra someone had replaced the normal 2.0L 8 Valve engine with the rs2000's 16v, tbh not sure why they bothered terrible car, was a sapphire cosworth replica too, but my mate had a volvo 340 fitted with a clio Williams engine, and i have to say best fun i've ever had in a car. the 360 is not bad either. and they are dirt cheap,
  21. well i've got a twin intake now, mounted where the stock intercooler were, so don't have that problem any more , its not actually an eBay cooler but the pipes are. and the new brackets i made lift it clear of the bottom of the bumper now, they were old pictures unfortuning.
  22. here is mine in the picture the 2 pipes on the drivers side are the wrong way round lol, and i did have to cut the bumper to make it fit properly, (not visible just trim the back) had to make some brackets for it as it hung too low, can see how low it originally hung VVV
  23. some mods are already not MOT legal, technically any car louder then it was out the factory should fail its MOT, so most sports exhaust are illegal. however as i pointed out to our mechanic doing mine last week, if he could show a Db noise level for it as it came out the factory, then he could prove its louder then it was lol.
  24. thanks. really helpful info. waiting to hear from gonzo what his heads were skimmed to, but if its unknown can use my current heads that haven't been. already got the machine shop on board, so will see what the engines like when its out.
  25. thanks so if i have ACL bearing then STD size will do. is it worth going for extra oil clearance in a ~500bhp engine? didn't understand why Nissan bearings had different STD grades and ACL didn't
