Cheerz Daffy! yep! I just had to check to see how long I have actually owner her , but can find the original receipt, but Ive found the receipt for the alarm that I had fitted about 6 months after purchase and that was june 2003!! so maybe 12 years !! time flys by so fast

At last I've had a bit of time to spend on the TT!. After 13 years of ownership I decided to get rid of the mid level spoiler and go full on 99 :) just me door fillers to go on and some work on the rear bumper. Bloody thing is missing on cylinder 1 though :( done all the usual cleaning, new plugs, coil packs ,ptu etc but missing on one :( anyhow heres some pics of how she looking

Done all that buddy :) deffo narrowed the problem on cylinder 4 only, I have a spare ecu, so gonna swap that over tonight ( easy swap) then look into the wiring :( Does anyone have a diagram of the ptu loom, or does anyone know if it also joins up with some of the relays? Thanks for all the help guys, it is appreciated :)

My thoughts too Joely , A place in Auz is banging new ones out for about £60, most of us know someone over there who could possibly post a few over to us rather cheaply !

I really don't think my head gasket is gone, but never say never! But even though similar symptoms, your car would be loosing compression when it gets hot due to the gasket, but mine is loosing a spark, so most likely electrical mate. Fecking hope so anyway :0

No Bazza! I broke that ptu last year trying to solve the blue relay problem that you solved :)... I've only just taken that ptu off the car as it was siliconed on, so still not sure what's up to be honest, but it's been narrowed down to just a few things now :)

Hey guys, I've been problem solving for a couple of weeks , but really need to get it running now!! so! the car starts and runs fine, after about 5/10 miles it drops a cylinder and sounds like a Subaru I've swapped (all working) ptu, maf, coil packs, plugs,cleaned the electrical contacts and a brand new coolant sensor, still no joy :( All injectors seem to be ticking nicely, and tonight i've discovered that i have no spark on cylinder 4 ! all the rest spark fine! please can you tell me where to start looking next? I can turn the car off for an hour or so, it then starts fine with no issues then after a short drive, boom!! cylinder goes down Cheers
