Thanks for the input mate , exactly what i needed to know , im still a ' newbie' to the zed tuning and its thanks to this forum mainly that i know about the tuning parts. I pm'ed john dixon earlier today as i would pretty much prefer to get the chip here and the remap from him. i just needed to know the best companies , ill check dta site next, thanks again for that mate. Will def have a look at the mild jwt cams. I definately know what you mean about the crazy prices, the receipt for the rods and pistons plus a few other very small jobs was £5000 :scared: but i think this was because the last owner wanted a specific weight so he had to pay for that aswell. Im quite happy with how this engine is atm theres a massive difference with this engine and the last i had , pulls very strongly. At the end if im not happy with how everything went , i can always change bits here and there , just trying to get everything i need more or less as one plan . I was also looking at the AEM today and i must say im quite tempted , seems like a good thing im going to research a bit more on it . Also about the nismo's i got put a bit off cause apparently people say that after a year they start failing? that did scare me =| Thanks once again mate !! much appreciated : ) and ps : really off topic lol but i must say , your car is definately one of my faves ! what a beast : D

guys i need a little help with something please . ( again lol ) i've decided to go for 740cc injectors i think its better to go for higher injectors then having them almost maxed out or something. im getting the deatchwerks ones with the adapter kit as i've read good reviews on them. im also going for another clutch, lightened flywheel route and also the jwt cams. what i need help with is , i currently have the zedworld ecu/chip can i buy a z1 eprom chip for 740cc injectors and fit it to that ecu ? and would it be safe running my engine with that and then have it remapped afterwards? any help would be much appreciated as im starting to order parts next tuesday. Thanks in advance oh and smithy the rods and pistons were custom made by noble motorsport, looked at the receipt yesterday and said to be able to handle over 500,600 +.

you will love it mate, usually go every year through france and spain to portugal and its an amazing trip on the zed :cool3: . would be really cool if we had a club trip to france:punk:

i've got baileys dumpvalves not sure which ones because the last owner bought them, they sound superb though, not the annoying ones which are always going off .

im not getting rid of the zed but i'll be getting a gtr r33 soon but if i had to choose one someday it will always be the zed , absolutely love everything about the car ! (:

i think you can buy one from z1 motorsports but not sure. luckily i have one :D the other zed i had a nasty bad black one that it seemed like it had been chewed off lol !

Hey matey indeed i do , i used to live near the Bp station which now is Shell , now i live 2 mins from there by car near tescos by the marina. What about yourself mate? I've only seen a zed around here purple/grey'ish kind of.Would be nice to know more ppl with zeds around here :D

is it possible to fit one without taking the front bumper off? Because the guy who fitted the bodykit took the gaps out and i dont want to ruin the bodykit. cheers Jo

Coming from the person who built a zed as good as you did with yours is a massive help with what i want to reach with mine.Tbh i just want a fast spooling turbo so im not even sure if this one is the best for that still going to do some research on the turbos, im not planning on doing any track days neither if i do anything it will only be the quartermile, just want the zed for a bit of fun as a weekend toy :cool3: oh and the every summer journey to portugal lol

cant remember the name atm mate got the receipts at work from the last owner will say the name tomoz. If im right i think it was a company somewhere near manchester/liverpool who have a very good rep apparently ( wasnt the first time i heard of them ) and they were quite expensive too. the last owner of the engine had quite big plans for the car but unfortunately had to sell the car. He mentioned various times they are good enough for over 500bhp. i would be more than happy with 500 or very close and most certainly that would be the stopping point for me ( engine tuning wise ) , as i've also got plans on buying a skyline gtr r33 very soon.

Unfortunately not yet mate lol but 500 seems a good number to aim for haha :D

if i didnt after all these years i think id be a completely useless guy lool :D as a friend once told me quite a few years back, the basic of an engine is always there but each one has their tricks you just gotta figure them out. the only thing that i actually am useless tbh is the re-mapping stuff!lol i thought id need a remap for the zed but Jeff told me you just change the ECU and problem solved.
