Keep it...get an old bike, sort out the no claims (Bike insurance is loads!!...I have been riding for about a million years and still pay a lot...with full no claims!...but then I like expensive bikes!). You might find the cost of insurance sways you anyway, find out what you fancy and get a quote,,that'll put you off!!
  5. I had this too!, would accellerate and it would not respond...take the foot off...put it on again and YES!!!...air flow sensor eh?...will have a look Sorry...dont want to hijack your thread...!
  6. Sadly I wont be able to make it there now as I broke my Z!!! Going to have to fix it at weekend now....ever done a rear wheel bearing?....b*stard of a job. Thanks to Mr F for supplying at reduced cost!! Well done!
  7. No one can answer my original post then....
  8. Mine 'buzzes' a little and is obviously on its way out...does anyone know if this can be repaired or do I have to buy a new one...ouch.. Know I could get a second hand one but that could be worse than mine!! Your help would be greatly appreciated!!

  11. Ah...checked sender and the contact is ok but I did discover that the actual sender spade connection is loose on the body of the sender so will get a new one and see what happens!
  12. Can the fuel pump be re conditioned as mine 'buzzes' a little Might explain a sudden power loss the other day, fine up to 100 ish and a bit wobbly after that!
  13. Friend of mine just spent 43K (yes £43000.00) buying one of them RS200 things, I like my z better!
  14. Excellent, will do mine too!
  15. Yes, standard guage, just checked level and its fine, no overheat probs either so not an airlock.
  16. will look em up tomorrow. Thanks again.
  17. Quite bizarre this...Not too good at electrics so thought someone out there might be able to help? All instruments work fine but when I give the beastie a bit of wellie the temp guage drops to the bottom as the boost guage rises...power drain I guess but am puzzled as it should do that all the time as the boost guage moves due to the small amounts of current the guages draw (or is it because theese things go so fast that gravity pulls the needle down!!?)
  18. Thanks mike, will give em a go, where are they?
  19. Youv'e visited Southend then!
  20. Oil in the cylinders is noy a brilliant idea and when you re assembled you should (or may have) used 'molyslip' (thin oil) to coat all moving parts such as the cylinders. All is not lost though as you can add some and let it 'run in'. as I believe is available in a spray can...like WD40. Dont use a lot and whatever you do, dont use normal engine oil as it will smoke like f**k and coat your cylinders/intakes (if it misfires) with a load o sh*te which will defeat the object. Used to be in the trade years ago when mechanics were mechanics and not just fitters of replacement parts (Having said that I did work on Austin/Leyland so what do I know!! :x:
  21. this should let you know what you wand to bleed air out of the HICAS system http://300zx-twinturbo.com/cgi-bin/manual.cgi?list=st&dir=&config=&refresh=&slide=49&cycle=off&scale=0&design=default&total=98
  22. There is (and still are a few ways past this) PM me with the circumstances (no bull ) and I will 'assist' where I can If you dont tell me the truth I cant help. Lets say I have a vast amount of experience' in this!
