  2. I/ve just bought some from mike feeney and I've notice they are not the spring loaded type so are these wrong will it make a difference??wtf
  3. just I quick question I thought data scan only showed combined o2 as the screen shot only shows one value ?? is there another menu i can acess to see them seperate?? richard
  4. you just need the green wire for reverse and the speedo sensor wire and plug off auto loom
  5. or jaypsc as he has one ready to exhange due to fact hes just fitted his aem
  6. look simple to make but why??
  7. well a decided to put the 555cc back in and hey presto no problems,,, so the only thing that caused mi car to die must have been very badly flooding ffs I would never have thought it would be this bad lol
  8. should be asble to get u a gauge on wednesday matey
  9. car seems to run better today, seems to get better the more i use it, appart from now on full boost its acting weird, boosts up to 15 psi as normal foot down then boost drops off so gonna do a boost leak check lol must have an air leak somewhere ffs probably a boost hose with taking em off so many times lmfao richard
  10. I never have used anything on headgaskets as they usually have their own coating,to aid bonding, the key to fittting headgaskets correctly is making sure the surfaces are flat and clean, and no oil in bolt holes to hydraulic and correct torque or angle// not sure on metal hg, is there issues with cometic hg as i've bough some to build my spare engine???
  11. well its\still a mystery to me as to why??? I finally managed to get it running after severe cranking and no throttle until it catched then holly cow...had to keep it revving at 3k to keep it running, but Icouldn;t see mi car for black smoke ffs mi eyes were watering it was that bad. after about half an hour the missfiring and spluttering/smoking started to calm down but car was running very rough but it would restart, I data scan data logged it running, and took it out for a spin to cruise it to aid clearing it, which it did....wtf??? checked co% on mi 4 gas anylyser and only gor 4%n/s and 7% o/s hydrocarbons abour 300ppm hks superafr set to zero correction, its still not smooth at moment but gonna give it a run to work tom` the only conclusion I can come up with when my initial 555 went in and the lower seal was pissing fuel into inlet as far as the engine oil (which I did change by the way ) then it must just have somehow held the fuel in either crancase or lower plenum, even though I blew all cylinders out with airline as for the lifters I don't know I guess I should have done a compression test but having not even done anyhting with internal engine parts i don't know. this has severly tested my 23yrs of being a mechanic to the limit AND I'M NOT HAPPY, now i,m down to 13 minutes to get plenum off lol
  12. i,ve put the std injectors back in and std chip but still no joy i've trie another set ofplugs still no joy/ tried another cas/ptu all coil packs checked /even my mate from swindon jay is here and hes thinking same i'm beginning to think a gallon of petrol and a match would cure it richard
  13. cheers guys, yes i got datascan, and superafr which could help, I also checked fuel line even t the extend of connecting spare fuel rail and wired one injector and cranked engine to make sure they were the right way around even though i compared it to another zed, just in case my pipes at fuel tank had been put on wrong way but no joy unless itsso badly flooded but when i got it runing with the 555cc chip on stock injectorsso i would run leaner duty cycle to help clear flooding it still seemed to run too rich, its certainly a strange one richard
  14. cheers nzniggles, yeah its beating me for the moment, i did manage to get it running with the leaner 555 chip with stock injectors but it still was flooding fuel and smoking like a good en my eyes were watering it was that rich, coil pack connectors were all ok injectors were all working , so i'm running out of ideas the only thing i can think of is to borrow another fuel rail # injectors of my mate jaypsc as hes just fitted new 555 the other day so i deffo know his are okt his will be the 4 th time plenum of ffs, i've got it down to 15 minutes lmfao
  15. nope i've got a working spare ecu that runs /tried that still same
  16. nope std thats\why i tried 555cc map to make it leaner but it did try to start better
  17. it did cross mi mind they could be bigger than 555 thats why i put std fuel rail back on to make sure it would run and it didn't lol
  18. fuel rail was complete with std injectors which gave me same sympton, tried it with 370cc chip and 555cc chip still same, i've run it with out fuel presure to clear flooding, engine data scan showed engine temp fine. i can see the piston tops through plug hole and it looks dry but still no joy, battery back on charge as its now flat again it doens't make sense, also i have tested both fuel rail with fuel lines connected and rest pressure at 40 psi and holding and no leaks/and connected a inj wire and cranked engine with injector squirting into a glass\ richard
  19. well , i finally decided to get mi polished plenum and 555cc injectors fitted after fitting them car started rough lumpy ovefuelling(yes i put 555cc chip in tried 2 of em know goood one) all new coil packs and injector connectors fitted 0 psi on rest pressure.traced fault to bottom o ring not in right doooh!! and pissing fuel straight down cylinder ahh thats it.now 40 psi plenum back on for 2nd time, car won't start ffs flooding like fook just about trying but never firing up, smelt severe petrol in breather/dumped oil &filter as it was contaminated badly. still no good/left with plugs out overnight , still no go tries a litle then dead. plenum off and spare fuel rail with injectors of a recent running zed engine. still the same wtf?? ecu fault code 55/draine petrol as I had topped it up with gallon can and tried again.nope thought put 555cc in with less duty cycle so will run leaner and eventually got car started, but smoking black neat fuel out stinging mi eyes and lumpy, then tried letting idle dead, won't start again checked all fuel dampers right way etc, thought it might be afm but it should run without it to start/ also tried another ptu in desperation, all earths fitted, tried a cas unit and injectors work etc/duty cycle on cranking with data scan at@60 so now even I'm at a loss ......looks like a gallon of petrol and a match cos i;m fed up with it now richard

the one you block off is the smallest diameter pipe except for the vacuum pipe on the valve lol
  21. and you forgot 850 are mostly automatics as well ooooooooooooppss lol
  22. try smithies place http://www.smithys-place.co.uk/index.php
  23. if you take the top binacle of the clocks you can get to the harness to ease it out of the way to make it a little better to fit richard
  24. no i didn't expect to get a reply quickly , its just someone at work abused my log on lol whilst i was away from my bench lmfao as for the aem, i've been told its a nightmare to set up and you need a expert to map it correctly or you will spend ages doing trials or dyno's am just trying to way up if the hassle outweight the benefits, seen as am rebuilding a spare engine with wiseco forged pistons/ eagle rods/metal econel h/gaskets/jwt sports 650 turbo's/manifolds/ 555cc inj which isn't exactly a full monty race engine but should give me a decent power and reliabilty for a while. i suppose the main thing i was thinking was the advantage of getting rid of the maf unit as this is supposed to be a big restriction richard
