anybody know anything about this system, as i've bought a tosh notebook lappy and can't get mi cdrw dven dvd to work or be detcted in bios or on system, as i want to install xp pro but can't .. from what I gather when i boot up IDE #1 is on the black screen which I assume is the cd drive not detected, and i believe that some cdrw need the bios flashing with firmware to enable the drive to be configured..unlike tower pc when you can select master/slave /cable selct etc. any ideas?? richard

If I recall the vac lines are from the fuel pressure regulator circuit as ollliezx said just loop em together

there is also the diff oil cooler pipe work and wiring harness to disconnect

talking about boost jets nissan actually fitted some restrictors in the actuator pipes as stock item

as for yer brake set up,£450 and the car still won't stop good enough , ur better off investing in front brakes only.... like the r33/34 skyline gtr brembo's which would cost you the same even though secondhand but much bigger disc,s and the car will stop ya. richard

Hi dave, the belkin sound ideal as i need the modem seen as i'm on adsl, my modem blew up/ them my mate gave me a wireless bt voyager 2091 which was tied to bt, i eventually uploader firmware and got it running to find wireless was dead so i'm having to scavenge off next doors wireless lol(not wep) how much do you want for it?? cheers richard

what exactly are you saving leaving box and engine bolted together,,none.... especially when you have to split it anyway when out , its a piece of cake to get the ring off bolts off around bell housing in situ so can'tsee the point of lowering subframe/disconnecting steering/ and having a heavy lump swingin abart especially if its off the plenum a lot of stress. lol but I guess each to their own.

red stuff squeel like a b****rd as well unless ur doing track days all the time.

as Andy says it a lot easier to manage with gearbox out and if you have them both attached i believe you have to lower the subframe for clearance which can affect the geometry when refitted.and with a manual box its a hell of a lot lighter lol

there is another down side to these ajustable tension rods, especially when you have 19" wheels,the ride quality is shocking you feel every bump even more, which can't be good for the suspension to have no cushion like you do with eurothene bushes or stock, yes you get better feel but at what cost,our roads are terrible and were not on a race track, so I i'm thinking of binning my adjustable ones and fitting eurothene back in, richard

should still start with det sensor fault, which would probably be the small harness connections at bulkhead in middle of rear engine top might be worth replacing spark plugs if they haven't been changed for a long time.

has anybodu repaired the speedo witht the common fault off stopping working as its deffo the speedo as the data scan was picking up speed readings when it goes off and I have another set of clocks the with the same fault?? richard

and another thing you might have to adjust the clutch switch on the pedal and adjust the pushrod into the clutch booster to give a longer stroke with the uprated clutches as the tend to expand a fair bit when warm
