  1. ebay is a good place to start or try a blitz dealer thats not on the forum. I had a nightmare getting one but found and old razo turbo timer in the garage and the harness went straigh onto the blitz turbo timer. i dont know what other ones fit.

  5. I bet they are rubbing their hand with the news the RAC will be doing this. Only problem is a lot of companies use an english sales team to sell the initial policy and then everything else is in another country. Most people dont actually know that most of the jobs are in India for a lot of big companies.
  6. Well NU has recently taken over the RAC and as you already know they are a big user of cheap overseas labour.

Well looks like im gonna be made redundant in the new year as the RAC has decided to move all of it jobs to India, although they will keep their UK connection by taking the money off its UK customers and shipping it abroad :(. Ohh well ill see if their are any sales jobs left in the UK for future employment.
  8. true i have a £250 Vauxhall Carlton Diplomat 2.0 which i bought so i didnt have to use my zed as a daily driver, pretty much any work that needs doing to it I can do myself.
  9. Getting a good one to start off with is the best way, but luck has to be shining on you too. Some people have no problems and some have had lots. I think people spend so much time when buying a zed checking it dont smoke on idle as everybody goes on about Turbo's (which might only be PCV's) when Suspension parts, exhaust replacement, tyres can cost you just as much to replace than a set of turbo's. Just think your looking at £400 for a set of tyres.

    Easiest way is to find somebody with a boost leak detector, you have to pump air into the system with the engine off and listen for leaks from all the hoses.

    What fuel do you put in? Optimax or Normal Unleadded. basically you need to do the following really. A: ECU Diagnostics Check to see of your got det sensor problems. B: Boost Leak Check, to make sure its not loosing the pressure. You can bypass the det sensor quite easily if thats the problem, downside is you car wont pick up on detting.

  17. Use the space to fit a Turbo Timer instead, ive got my Blitz FATT timer where my clock was and use the clock on my stereo to tell the time :)
  18. I'm having problems with boost on my car. Basically I have a Blitz DSBC boost controller which is set at Ratio:57 Gain:6 Limit:1.10. Now ive also had car checked for boost leaks. Problem is when i floor it im sometimes only getting 0.75-0.85 Bar, plus it fluctuates up and down mid boost, like the valves are opening and closing. Now when fitting the controller i disconnected the origional actuator plugs as per instructions. Does the car still use the origional actuators or would the fluctuating possibly be caused by duff solinoids on the boost controller? Or is it likely to still have boost leaks? Thanks in advance Marcus.
  19. Because it just costs to much to run, ive had it just over a year and its cost me about 4 grand in repairs, its still needs 500 to a grands worth of work on it and im fed up of spending. I rarely drive it anymore and if you take into the amount i paid for the car its would have been better to spend it on my kids and family. Ive tried to sell it on ebay but highest it went to was 2,400 and that just takin the piss. unfortunatly i bought one of the roughest zeds ever, its far better now than what it was but it wont be sold for next to nothing. i want to recoup at least 3 and a half grand on her so it may have to be broken.
  20. Just sat down working out how much my car is worth in bits as i am thinking about possibly breaking it and worked out i should get around 3 grand just for the following bits. Stainless Steel Hardpipes (6 months old) Blitz Turbo Timer 2 x Manual Radiators Rear OE Syle Fiberglass Spoiler HiCas Eliminator Bar (Brand New) Blitz Induction Kit (A Year Old) Bailey Motorsport Dump Valves (Six Months Old) Blitz DSBC Boost Controller SE Nistec Fast Road Autobox Mike Feeney Decat Pipes (Year Old) Mongoose Stainless Steel Exhaust (1 yar old) Wings West Polyeurethane Front Bumper (Not even painted yet) Fully Black Leather interior with No rips or holes in the leather Volks Racing 17 Inch 5 Spoke Allow Wheels Mocal Oil Cooler (1 Year old) MAF, TPS, PTU, CAS, Fuel Pump, Lights. I worked out thats 3 grands worth of stuff even before body panels, engine, turbo's running gear etc. Seems it makes more sense to break these car.
