that would be great stevo, how hard is it to fit.

i did disconnect the battery for a week and no difference. maybe there a set routine you have to go thru to get the gearbox to work normally after a rest like on my old bmw auto. i had to redline it in 1st for a couple of secs then let it coast in gear back town to a stop and some other stuff. if thats not it what am i looking at for a gearbox ecu. does anybody have one

my auto seems to slam itself into 2nd. 2nd to 3rd is smooth as silk but 1st to 2nd seem to have a slight delay then you get jerked forward when ut changes. this happens at all but slight acceleration. my gearbox on way out of something simplier.

it was just a normal evo 8, mind you it was only 4 months old so i guess his engine was still a bit tight

on the way home from work come up behind an evo 8 who was waiting for the car in front to pull out of the fast lane. were both doing about 40, car moves out the way both me and evo floor it and to my suprise i matched him. there were 2 in his car and 1 in mine. both turned off into sainsburys parked next to each other and he asked what mods i had. explained mine is stock apart from the zorts and he was shocked how i kept with him. the funny bit was when a kiddy in a kitted up mr2 tried to join in untill he noticed what he was up against lol

Performance wise it depends on if its an auto or manual, short or long wheel-base. they are 280bhp stock and o-60 from 5.5 to about 5.9 depending on version. Very tunable but expensive to run

Jacked up my car over the weekend as I was sorting out the excess oil in my car and noticed the the bushes on my tension rod looked a very worn. I know my car has a bad judder, but thought it was the discs. My question is whether to change the bush or the whole tension rod. I know the bushes are cheaper, but isnt the tension rod a DIY job and wouldnt this then make it a cheaper option then getting a garage to fit a bush only? Anybody know how much a tension rod costs and anythig that would make is a non easy fit?

how do you test to see is its working? my uncle who has been an auto-electrician for 30 years was foxed by it. we unpluged the ecu temp sensor, put the two wires together and bridged the relays and nothing happened.

i read a post on here and they sounded quite fiddly and hard to do. Im bound to bodge up just taking out some oil, so the PCV's maybe beyond my skill/brain power.

i will try to attend if my car will make it that far LOL.

My car is smoking on idle (seems to happen after ive booted it) does this sound like PCV valves and if so how much would a garage bill me for the work? PS. The car has too much oil in it and has only been smoking since i reset the ECU.

its works though john, mine has no bling and is stock (apart from mongooses exhausts, which you cant see thru the smoke).
