Thanks for working on my car neil, it was running massivley better on the way back, drove round for 30 mins and didnt seem to loose any power

mines in for a full service and belt change next week. dont know when it was last done so though better be on safe side.

Ive just had those bushes replaced with poly ones. I just bought the bushes and got a garage to pop them in. Whats this about the poly ones fracturing the arm? never knew that and now im worried.

Couldnt reconnect the origional battery earth, but the smithy earthing kit does the job anyway i guess. Lost about a pint of water at a guess, water was brown, which is weird as i spend several hours flushing out the rad. Havent fitted the boost jets as i couldnt get the main inlet pipes off lol. ohh and i havent had my boost guage fitted yet. i cleaned the connectors on the Det Sensor and the sensor on the throttle body thingy. Cars running a lot better still feels a bit bogged down after a while, especially if trying to boot it from 50+ Off the lights it seems fine, though my left foot was starting to feel very warm from the transmission tunnel. Followed the advise of shunter and stevo. cleaned my det sensor the throttle sensor thingy, replaced the spades on my temp ecu sensor. fitted my pete shrimp grounding kit. wnt out for a 45 minute drive tryng to take in as many different driving situations as poss. result- car felt really smooth and even after 45 mins put my foot down and full boost. woohoo. only down side was when i got back there was abubbling sound for 15 mins comming from the expansion bottle, pass side intercooler area and water was pouring out the bottom for about 4 mins. does this sound like an air leak or boiling water.

Hope ur cars fixed soon steve-o, mine been playing up last couple af days which is hasnt done for a bit of time. i guess my saftey boost problem may well be todo with the heat or hole in my decat pipe. probally far worse though im just being optimistic lol

flushed thru the coolant, put rad flush stuff in too. went for a spin and still detting i guess. anything else to do.

the gurgling was from the front of the car. ive heard the aiv gurgle before but this sounded as it was coming from the expansion bottle that kinda area. what do i need to do to stop this happening again.

ohh im running optimax petrol also just incase that make any difference and the oil i use is castrol rs 10-60. was told by rac my antifreeze was abit weak but the gueage shows no sign of overheating.

car seems to have been fine for some time, drove to billing with no power loss problems. drove home from work today, nice hot day air con on everything was fine until, i was sat for 10 mins trying to get out of a juntion. when i finally saw a gap put my foot down and it felt like a 1.1 metro. no power, stock guage was showing what i guess is saftey boost, but she felt like she wasnt boosting at all, come to think of it i would say she was producing a lot less power than an na. got home, switched of engine back on again and boost was back. turned off engine opened bonnet and sounded like the water was boiling, sounded like in the rad then, on more investigation sounded around the front passenger turbo intercooler area. looked a temp guage and it read fine, just above the 9 oclock position. i really dont know what the problem is. ive changed the ecu so cant be that, ive done a diag on the ecu and thats fine, ive fixed the broken electric fan. its been on a conzult, though the idle was too low to do a load test, everything else seemed ok. fixed idle. what can it be now. :rolleyes:
