on a slightly different tack does your subfan still run when getting hot (not blooming likely this summer :) )?...if your aircon has been junked just check to see if the aircon fuse is still in place because if not it will stop your sub fan from running (love the jap thinking there!)...i discovered this by accident but maybe useful to some on here

not forgetting you can have very p1ssy moods as well when getting low....like a mega stropping / unreasonable b@stard really also a funny smell like pear drops / nail varnish on the breath when ketosis is happening too

i thought ptu's went wrong when hot...aka dry joints...still swapping one over is easier than pulling the idle valve unit etc

the aircon drain is located passenger side firewall under close to the battery so i thought? just thinking that you said it was a little bit oily....sounds very like coolant...atf fluid is so much thicker worth remembering that coolant will be cool in seconds once it hits a road surface / tarmac so it could well be a small pinhole/leak passenger side...only noticable when you park up as the heat soak increases the system pressure so forces the coolant out hence small puddle wont hiss either if its missing all the hot sections

power steering / hicas fluid i reckon bud...those leak a fair amount (and the location seems spot on) weirdly the fluid pot always seem to have some in even when mine was leaking loads...if you ever top one up it keeps going and going as it runs into the system i guess its the size of the channels and the viscosity etc

looks fine as it is...lips can be good too...but lose the wiper IMHO it'll clean the lines no end

looks fine but i think you should get digital radio (DBS) head unit myself...its all going that way very few on the market but priced from £150 up isnt too bad and you'll need a digi ariel dont forget add another £50

its been done before...fitting harder springs that is...bit fiddly but do-able...not sure the exact spring spec or pull you need....ideally an assorted box of springs would be best then cut and shape the size needed

yeah in my case it was the boot lock mechanism securing bolts...they had stripped their threads so the mech wouldnt sit still when shutting the boot lid down...so the lid pushed the mech down a bit and fouled/trapped the release when being pulled...new bolts held the unit tight and in place...bit of trial an error to get the position right but did the trick

so when's it going on the dyno....just £30 to prove any nay sayers wrong...:D my concerns are protection of the unit...will spray and cr@p off the wheels hitting the tub 24/7 shorten its life...is the zorst gas going to be moving fast enough by the time it gets up to the back to be effective...and how does it compare price (maybe time too) wise to doing a normal na - tt conversion....a bhp/£ price comparison would be good to see when putting STS set up up against normal conversions questions...questions...look forward to any answers :D cheers
