  1. Happy birthday fellow birthday mate :D
  2. And I am partial to Alfa's too, as you know ;)
  3. Stoney Stanton mate, not far from Hinckley. I will construct a message for Kim, just off out for birthday dinner in a mo :D
  4. Give him a big kiss from me Marie-Anne :tt2:, and wish him well. I hope it turns out to be something trivial and he's back on his feet in no time. Peach.
  5. Looking very nice there mate, love the seats!!

  7. Wish it was mine, but I did it for a fellow owner's club member (for a price, of course ;) ) and now he'll get all the credit for it as he's doing the Italian car show circuit with it!
  8. Following on from my last thread about a 7 hour detail I did on an Alfa 155, a few of you seemed interested to see what I can do for you. Obviously, a tired old car with mouldy bits and fading paint is going to be radically transformed by a good session (see last thread!), but any car can definitely benefit from a little enhancement and protection. I have done detailing and valeting professionally and the price for a full day on one car, including machine polishing and removing parts/wheels, started at £250 and went upwards (quite a long way in some cases - you try doing all that to a Hummer!!! 3 days it took!). Now, I'm not saying I'd charge that sort of price for working on a Z, but for a full days work like I did on the Alfa I'd be looking at £150 (including materials). Obviously if you didn't need quite such an intensive job doing then we could work something out - bespoke detailing, if you will :). Plus, as I am not a 'mobile detailer' I would need you to bring the car to me, where you could leave me to it or get involved yourself to pick up some tips/knowledge. So, would anyone be genuinely interested in this sort of thing?
  9. Thanks for the comments peeps :)
  10. A friend recently got hold of a bit of a bargain (an Alfa 155 - my other car love) but it was in need of a little TLC. So, he dropped it off at my place a little while ago, and today I set to it. Due to the image limit on here, here is a link to the 155 owners forum with a full image write up - 7 hour Mega Detail!! Hope you like :D
  11. Been detailing an Alfa right next to my SORN'd Z today, teasing me in the sunshine :(
  12. I now swear by Chemical Guys products - check them out at http://www.chemicalguysuk.com , they have some detailing kits available. Their stuff is easy to use and gives great results. And to say that the paint will never be the same is not true -I've seen properly detailed paint looking better than when it came out of the factory ;)
  13. That sounds like the bargain of the year! Well done fella
  14. White on blue, FTW!! (that's what I want ;) )
  15. Simply awesome! Gotta be one of my all time favourite Z's
  16. Could the HPi be holding their records in Km maybe, as it's an import? It doesn't convert exactly the same but it's a lot nearer. Just a thought.
  17. Nice find mate
  18. Don't do it! I loved cars and detailing and driving nice motors, so I got a job doing just that - and it completely killed my passion. The motor trade is a cutthroat industry and I swear I'm gonna steer clear of it from now on! I don't mind helping out now and again but as a sole income, forget it. The people that earn good money in the motor trade have been in it for years. IMHO :)
  19. My god, it's like going back in time LOL! Next thing you know, Sgt. C will be buying Zelda back :D Welcome back to the family bud :)
  20. Mmmmmmmmmm, that is seriously nice - well done you

  22. Hi there, This site is more geared around the Z32 model, whereas the one you're looking at is a Z31. You might want to take a look over at zclub.net where they have a dedicated section for the Z31. Having said that, there will probably be someone along soon with some advice here anyway LOL! Good luck though, nice looking '31 :)
