Going through hell
The death of a loved one always turns my mind to this poem, I hope you can find some comfort in these words; Do not stand at my grave and weep I am not there, I do not sleep I am a 1,000 winds that blow I am the diamond glints on snow I am the sun on ripened grain I am the gentle autumn rain When you awaken in the morning's hush I am the swift uplifting rush Of quiet birds in circled light I am the soft star that shines at night Do not stand at my grave and cry I am not there; I did not die. Going through hell
My wife and I are expecting our fourth, and we are both sitting here in tears for your loss. Our hearts go out to you and your family at this time Steve. I cannot imagine what you are going through, but I hope you can be strong for each other. RIP little Maisie

Never Advertised a car for sale.
Is it your Z that you're selling? 'Specialist' cars like ours take forever to sell, no matter what you do (unless you have a buyer in mind).

Never Advertised a car for sale.
I've sold LOADS!! And pretty much ways made a profit :D. I even sell other people's cars for them, as most people can't be arsed LOL

Pics of the Omega
Very nice. Omegas are bloody good motors IMO, had a couple of the older model myself. I hope the two of you have a long and happy time together :)

Hello from Lincoln!
Very nice mate :) Clean, simple, subtle mods - like it.

may have a swap for my n/a
Looks nice mate and if it's what you want then, hey, it's your car. However, I reckon your Z is worth substantially more than that IMO, and is a MUCH higher 'grade' car, if you know what I mean. But if you're happy, rock on :)

SORN'd :o(
Bonnet, nose panel and roof bars at this stage, and if I get on well with it maybe a full body wrap - we'll see :). It's something I've wanted to learn for a while since I heard a few pros say it's pretty difficult (cue Top Gear quote - "How hard can it be?!"). If all goes well, maybe next year I would hope to offer a wrapping service alongside my detailing work, fingers crossed.

SORN'd :o(
Had to bite the bullet today and SORN the Z :( Other things have got to take priority for a little while, and work has been slack this year so I've chosen to tuck her up for the winter. On the plus side, hopefully it will be going into my mate's workshop over the colder months so we can do a bit of welding, a bit of fettling (a nice local chappy is going to make a one piece prop for me ;)) and perhaps a little spraying and wrapping :shuriken: Might see if I can get hold of some old rwd shitter to play with on the winter roads in the meantime :clown:

My New Stillen Type 3 lip - the whole story!!
NOOOOOOOO!! I think the wheels suit the car perfectly as they are, grey centres wouldn't compliment the body colour at all IMO :)

My New Stillen Type 3 lip - the whole story!!
Stunning Andy mate. I can't decide whether yours or Gary Wilson's IMMACULATE shorty is my new favourite Z. Hmm, close call, but loving your work Andy :)

Which is the glossiest polish?
T-Cut itself is fine, but it's marketing and instructions are misleading - most people think it's a one step cure for all scratches/damage/faded paint. It is a VERY aggressive polish so, yes, it will remove scratches and damage etc. but the area will also then need refining with a finishing polish, perhaps glazing, and definitely protecting with wax or sealant afterwards. It's like anthing - if you don't use it right, you ain't gonna like the results! (and I don't own any :tt2: )

wheel cleaning
I currently use Autosmart Smart Wheels, or Autosmart Treble X for really stubborn marks - but they're not available to the public! Auto Glym Clean Wheels is pretty good, or if the marks are really ingrained get some compund on it and polish it out (or Autosol if it's on a stainless rim). After that, a couple of coats of any wax or sealant will put some protection back on there :)

Don't forget to post the pics when you're done ;)

Which is the glossiest polish?
It all depends on the colour and finish of the car. Metallics benefit from different finishing products to non metallics. Dark colours needs different treatments to light or warm colours. Shamaz - if the car in question is the pearl white Z in your rides section, then it's all about the preparation for you my friend. The route I would be taking for a 'wet' finish is a good wash (no wax in the shampoo), thorough clay bar treatment, wash again, light machine polish, machine glaze, then a few coats of sealant rather than a wax. All waxes are based on natural ingredients which always have an off white tinge to them which can tint/darken/discolour white paint. Two or three coats of a good sealant (I like Chemical Guys Jetseal 109, but I know that GTechniq C2 is excellent on white) 24 hours apart will look stunning. The only 'high street' sealant I can think of is Auto Glym Extra Gloss Protection, but I find it unnecessarily hard to use - get online at http://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk for some proper products ;) And no, I don't get commission :tongue_smilie:

wheel cleaning
Good stuff!! Make sure you get some wax or sealant on the wheels now though 'cos Mr M will have stripped the sh1t out of the paint/lacquer, exposing it to damage. Oh, and pics please (wheels and kitchen LOL) :)

All washed and polished
Sounds like my kind of place! I think I'll pop along on Saturday and have a nosey around :D
