  1. i'm hoping to make it (via Bracknel)
  2. i'm looking for either: a wiring diagram for the audio wiring for a car fitted with the bose speaker/amp units in the doors (the diag i have is for single rear amp no door amps) someone who has replaced their origonal head unit but kept the bose speaker/amp units in the doors and got it working someone (or a site) who knows about how the amp/speaker units were designed/ built i have spent hours searching but can't find what i need I have replaced the head unit and now get no sound from the speakers, i have connected the power feed to the amps to the switched 12v out of the head unit. my understanding is that this powers a relay which sends power to the amps and that the amps recieve power , ground, and 2 speaker wires. What i'm wanting to check is whether the amps are balanced or whether one side is grounded, if one side is grounded then i need to get the speaker wires the right way round. or for that matter if my head unit uses bridged output modules and the nissan amp is grounded on one side then i would be shorting out my head unit and it might be in protect. errr help :)
  3. my mileometer stoped working today, speedo still works as does evertything else. any ideas what its likely to be and if this is easy to fix? ta

  6. have to disagree, i think he asked a couple of very reasonable questions in a polite way to which he was given a lot of abuse . if i had read a thread like this full of "the door is over there" before i joined i would have thought what a load of stuck up inbred twats and you certainly wouldnt have got my £20
  7. i went and looked at that one about a year ago, it was spotless, looked brand new
  8. think i'm being thick, but i can't find these tyres on this site. what are the stock tyre sizes for a uk and what is the speed index? or is there an easy way to go direct to the tyre?
  9. i have a X1/9 in my garage (plus room for 2 bays shelving, 2 bikes and a lawnmower) this is because my 300zx doesnt fit through the door by about an inch and even if it did i would be stuck in it
  10. but it also says: delivers maximum resistance to aquaplaning and extreme levels of wet handling. what tyres would you recomend for all year use bearing in mind that i'm not going to change tyres depending on what the weather is doing?
  11. i came off the m25 at j10 after the brighton run, burgandy red, no body kit but a 99 spoiler
  12. saw 2 today, grey one aproaching fleet servises south bound on M3 about lunchtime and then a black one aproaching guildford on A31 about 6pm
  13. i just bought a sat nav and its all connected fine except it needs to connect to a speed line from the ecu , whereabouts should i be looking for this? where in the car the ecu is or where a description or pictures can be found would be even better thanks

  15. anyone know why, wots it trying to do other than cool the temperature sensor so it doesnt know i'm hot and there fore i think the air con is naff?
  16. today the small fan fitted in the roof bar (at the front just behind the 2 spot lights) started rattling and squeeking and really annoying me. so i thought i'll turn the aircon off, but the fan kept going, basically the fan runs as soon as i turn the ignition on. is this right? i asume the small component stuck on the bottom of the fan unit is the temperature sensor for the headspace of the car for the automatic aircon but why have the fan blow at the temp sensor? maybe the temp sensor is nackerd and causing the fan to run constantly , but i would have thought all fans should stop irespective when you press the aircon off button???
  17. i'm definatly interested, are there going to be any to see at japfest?

  19. check all the places where there are age marks ie seetbelt labels, rear light cover plates (theres a thread listing more) if it turns out to be a 90/91 then offer £1000 less for it.
  20. does anyone sell front fog lights that fit a uk 300zx to replace the fake ones in the front bumper. also interested in a second rear fog to replace the fake one in the rear bumper, i'm asuming i can just buy another standard uk one and fit it instead of the blank? thanks
  21. having just done this i found out 2 important things: Jap doors (with seat belt on door pillar) are different to uk doors some uk dooors have diferent connectors on the wiring loom to others
  22. i thought the standard radio in a uk car was a diversity reciever and was connected to 2 ariels, the electric one at the back and another internal one, picking the best signal
  23. you know the little packs of silica that come with computer / electronic products to keep them dry, well homebase sell a large version of that which comes in a plastic box with a shelf for the silica packet and a tray to catch the drips. my car used to p1ss water off the roof and back window and i'd always have soggy carpets in thge boot and in the back footwells. i've sat one of these in one of the back footwells and it's working really well, both windows and carpets are dry
