Promoting the Club Facebook Page.
As a publicity thing i get it, but from a forum member point of view, if i dont have time to post my meet pictures to two places, do i choose the forum or the facebook. ( Thats 2 different uploads, at least 2 forums is one upload to photobucket and post the links into 2 forums, and i dont often bother to do that) If i choose facebook, thats less info on the forum, less talk on the forum, less meets, less members? If i choose the forum, thats less new people finding out about the forum Brain overload

Suggestion for Members' trading
My postcard..... This has been suggested many times over the clubs life but it always comes down to not really practicable What if the buyer disapears for a month without saying theyre happy, how long can you keep the seller waiting Also you would be asking the committee to make decisions between 2 members who dont agree on the definition of "as new" for example, both sold and purchased in good faith, but one of them has to be wrong. Would you want to make that call. If i bought a saucer of milk, and 2 weeks later complained it was off, but the seller was adamant it was fresh when they sent it, who would you give the money to? Selling a Metal container of wriggly things methinks, garunteed alive ( when sent)

Promoting the Club Facebook Page.
I don't understand the point, am i missing something? I come on the forum to read about 300zx , if a topic interests me it gets emailed to me With the addition of a facebook club page, either A) its all a repost and i will get emailed the same stuff twice plus loads of stuff i dont care about Or B) its all new material and i have to look in 2 places to find out about 300zx. A bit like having 2 300zx forums, you only want to sign up to one, but have to look at both in case you miss something important

servo assist on clutch
When adjusting the clutch pedal it is important to first unscrew the pedal switches and back them off so they are not affecting pedal travel. Then adjust the pedal ( make sure you adjust in the correct direction, i spent ages convinced i was going he correct way, but was not) then when happy adjust the switches back in. There is also adjustment on the servo rod , but ive neve had the need to adjust it

servo assist on clutch
I really think it's worth the few extra pence ( or even pounds) to fit a second non return valve. When my manual conversion was done they T off after the existing non return, about a month later the clutch servo went and i lost assist to the brakes - very scarey Of course if its a tt you can swap the balance bar to a manual one which has a take off for clutch servo, stil need non return valve though. As an aside, i'm still of the opinion that short connecting hozes of a t biece are a contributing factor in a lot of clutch servo failures in converted cars. When mine broke i talked to 4 other members who had servo failure after a manual conversion, none had the stock vacuum pipes or tanks fitted. There was also a thread from someone who reported uneven assistance and pedal pulsing till they extended the vacuum pipe. Nissan put in he extra pipe and tanks for a reason. One of these was obviously that you could still be on boost whilst clutching, which would affect the amount of assistance

dibs?
When i started coming here, dibs meant that, it meant " i have the money ready to give you, please let me know how to pay you asap" Over the years it has become" i quite like that, maybe this pay day, or the next, we could haggle over the price if i havnt changed my mind" So i rekon its the fault of " buyers" over the years that those of us who still mean the former now have to type it in full

WOW !! 2nd time in my life !!!
I must admit i found the " at least we don't have an essex" quite funny ( no offense to essex intended) It was the concept that , if you dont like a county, and you live far enough away , then you can pretend it isnt part of the same country as you, that tickled me

Tyres
I have toyo proxes t1r on one zed and eagle f1 on the other Its time for new boots all round :sweatdrop: From all the differnt tyres i've had i think i'm going with toyo ( partly due to the limited selection in stock uk rear size) For my slicktop (17") as i do the ocasional track day, but it is still a daily drive car, i'm wondering about the various toyo proxes available: Toyo proxes T1R Toyo proxes T1 sport Toyo proxes R1R I like the comfort and softness of my current T1R but have no experience of the others Has any one tried any of the other toyos? The toyo brochure is very good at telling you what is good about each tyre, but it is dificult to work out what are the downsides. For example is the better handling at the expense of the comfort etc I'm woried about spending loads thinking i'm getting a better tyre and then not liking it / regretting it
