  3. cheers m8 i will just plod on and get there in the end. at least it is giving me some experience of the engine as i have never worked on one of these before. hell of a long way from you m8!!! about 300miles or more!! but thanx for all the advice though it all helps
  4. got most of it off now i think!!!! cant really see what im doing with most of it and pipes underneath are a prob!! its been turned by hand and also tried starting it. just popped then nothing i have even re-timed it so thats why i am outside swearing at it now!!!!!!!:rant::rant: still have no idea what im doing though lol :rofl:
  5. well checked and all my timing is correct so now i am about to start removing the plenum to look for busted valves!!!:(:(:( anybody know if this as daunting as it looks?? anybody who wants to help can come round and is very welcome lol;) i hate this bloody car its doing my head in!!!

  9. well it has turned over now but not fired up. engine is now flooded. so going to take plugs out tomorrow and clean them! there is no knocking from valves so am hoping they are fine!!
  10. although saying that mine is an n/a and when i still had 1st gear im sure i hit 60 faster than 7 seconds
  11. well write up states twin turbos so maybe he was just scared to bury the fast pedal into the carpet

  15. cool m8 but it doesnt have 5 speed auto really does it? i was told they only do the 4 speed that i have with overdrive
  16. getting big now too m8 last pics i saw looked quite a bit smaller but lovely looking dog though
  17. that obedience training worked well then m8 just like it does with kids! tell them what to do and they just do as they please lol

  22. i noticed this too m8 hes jumped on about 6 threads now and it says he only joined today something not quite right
  23. what is the world coming too? we were happy to climb trees and just kick 7 shades out of each other! lol mind you i guess what your saying these kids were doing in fact is not much different to when we all played cowboys and indians. although some people do go a bit too far!!
  24. i use a spray contact cleaner that i got in the little accessories shop in the village. it desolves crud and corrosion and can even be used on circiutboards. works really well
  25. cool have started putting it back together now. hopefully will be in one peice again by tomorrow night
