  1. I used apex sr20det mounts on my hybrid they were same depth as zed mounts but not as bulky
  2. for Mot purposes they just need to be fastened to something so you don't have a huge loop of braided pipe wafting around, I made some clamps with steel and rubber worked fine and the mot guy said nice but a cable tie would have done
  3. http://img249.imageshack.us/img249/8130/gearboxog1.jpg
  4. I thought they switched between 0 - 1v ?
  5. Ohhh I feel old http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uRE7BG_w72k&feature=related http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G7ZWWwV4_-M&feature=related
  6. Not that I used to watch this cough cough
  7. Size of elephant Opppps thats a give away
  8. Thanks again, almost getting excited about pulling the engine out now :D
  9. The kit you need depends on whether you need a minor or major kit, and whether your turbo has short (7.67mm) or long (9.37mm) journal bearings. The major kit includes retaining ring, shim, thrust collar and O rings. Minor kit - £36.00 each Major kit - £51.00 each Piston - £14.09 each As I don't have the turbo's out yet are the bearings standard sizes ?, do I order long or short bearing kit ?
  10. Cool What price will I be looking at for the rebuild kits and stepped rings
  11. pcd will be the same it will be the offset that may be the problem if any
  12. I sent them an email saying the same, I will keep at them till they give in, or send you the money lol
  13. Where can I purchase the rebuild kits fr the zed turbo's, I emailed Melett, but all they did was advise against doing it.
  14. No help to you I know but my 2nd gear crunches if I try anything other than a slow change
  15. AFM plug loose broken disconnected, very big boost leak ?
  16. I take it the fuel rails on top are more or less straight tubes with spigots for injectors and feeds for fuel Did you make your own rails ?
  17. might want to replace all the little fuel hoses on the fuel rail across the plenum too
  18. So long as your careful you shouldn't loose any gas from the air con, definitely will loose skin from your hands though :wack:
  19. Worst case I would have thought would be to remove air con and move as much out the road as possible without removing any pipes if your air con is gassed and working that is
  20. is it just the mount you want to change or are you removing the engine ?, I hve removed 2 from z's now and cant recall a problem with the mounts ? Guide for engine removal http://www.ttzd.com/tech/enginetech.html
  21. If you went single turbo you would go single inlet plenum, there is room in the zed bay if you do some serious reworking of where things live
  22. Pahh you should get cable
  23. Does any one have the length a wheel stud, from the hub to the end of the wheel stud ? Can you run 5mm wheel spacers without fitting longer studs cheers
  24. Take one of the pistons out and compare it to a zed piston
  25. Thats ok every one is entitled to there opinion thats what makes the world such a marvelous place, I don't need anything more than a multimeter to decide if a battery is dead or not if you have access to better things thats great, its not usually the tools them self thats the problem just the way people use them and what they make of the information they get from them. Glad you worked out your problem and it should run a bit smoother especially at tick over when the alternator's not doing anything.
