redundancy
Cheers boyz, @ 45 years old, kids grown up and wife earning a decent wage plus nearly mortgage free I am so tempted to take the money and take a few months off deciding what to do next. But taking that leap of faith is a bit scarry, anyone been in this position ? and what did you do ? and whatever you decided did it turn out for the best ?

redundancy
After 18 years with the company I have come in tonight to find they are offering redundancy packages, for me it would work out at about £ 25,000. having been passed over for promotion a couple of times not because I'm useless but I speak my mind which it seams some companies dont like, I am so tempted to take the money and run. Trouble is the pay is pretty good even though I'v long lost interest in the job and company. What advice can anyone give please.

Could anyone tell me their address in Alford Lincs please, have tried e-Mailing but as yet no reply, am in Grimsby not too far away from Alford so may have a drive out to their workshop to arrange for some work to be done. Thanks.

Think my wifes having an affair .
She seams to have changed, you know, wearing sexy underwear for work, the phone going dead when I answer, wants to go out more with her friends, last week i picked up her mobile phone when it rang and she went ballistic screaming at me never to answer her phone again. she used to get dropped off outside the house by taxi, now it seams she walks the last 100 yrds, so last night I went outside to try and catch her. I crouched behind my Zed so she couldn't see me when she got dropped off, then I saw something that totally freaked me, rust bubbles on my back wheel arch ! what can I do :D stuck at work till 10pm, happy new year everybody !

Front camber kit
Don't do enough miles to warrant going to the expense of changing the springs/shockers also they look O.K. ride hight O.K. and no leaks. Having slept on it I can't understand how adding shims would increase the negative camber as they should decrease the negative camber or am I missing something ? tempted to take the car back without doing anything and see what readings they come up with! Sometimes get the feeling when these places see a car like this it completely thows them and they don't really have a clue, They didn't seem to know about adjusting the rear camber and tracking.

Front camber kit
Yes sorry you are right it is too much neg camber, going to remove the right hand shims then hopefully this will put the camber right, don't want to knock the shim kits but I feel the adjustable arms are poss the best bet.

Front camber kit
Yes agree the adjustable arms do look the best way to go on the camber probs, beginning to regret trying to skimp and going for the cheap option.

Front camber kit
Has anyone fitted the shim kit ? reason I ask is I took the car into tyre firm to find out how far out the camber was and it was pretty even on both sides, too much positive camber. Fitted 2mm shims both sides, took car back to be checked/ tracking adjust and the camber was spot on for the left but a mile out on the right again too much positive camber. luckily they are a good bunch of lads and they don't charge for just checking so after a bit of banter they suggested taking the shim out of the right hand side, has anyone else had this problem with the shim kits ?

Camber shim kit
Got my shim kit but no instructions, I take it the shims fit between the inner wing and the upper control arm bracket, but is it just a case of unbolting the bracket or does the upper arm need to be taken off as well ? Also any idea what thickness shims should I start with to correct moderate inner tyre wear? As they are not stamped I will have to measure the thickness, but wanted to put some in before taking the car for a camber check so I have a rough idea of what to add/remove.

Front camber
Anyone know who sells the front camber correction kits ? not the full adjustable arms, the shims I think.

lights...
I think they adjust the beam, to remove the unit you will need to get access to 3 10mm nuts by removing the indicator units.

driving bans
Cybernet, maybe they just don't want my custom anymore, anyway spoke to Jason at Heritage and got sorted, 7500 mile/year fully comp including my wife who has had 2 claims on her insurance this year £329. So Carole Nash can put their renewal where the sun don't shine :xxx:

driving bans
On the subject of insurance I have had my renewal quote from Carole nash and it has doubled, when i rang to find out why they said that they no longer insure these cars on a classic insurance. It was also on a 6000 mile per year limit, so anyone insured with Carole Nash beware for a shock.

LED rear lights
Sorry mate cant help there , the electronics men at work ordered mine, when I next see them I will ask for you.
-
LED rear lights
I also bought some of these lights from Luke but found the outer ring of LED,s too bright to be used as running lights, what I did was put a 100ohm resistor in line to each bank of lights. This dimmed them enough to allow them to be used as running lights. As for the warning light on your dash this is because of the LED,s taking less currant, on my car this didn't work so no warning light came up.

fitting discs
Make sure the pistons are not seized in the calipers , did mine a couple of weeks ago and one was seized solid , seems to be a problem with these cars, just keep twisting and moving it until it feels free ,don't pull it all the way out of the caliper that wiil cause more work / problems.
