Anyone work for the water board? whats this??
It,s a hydrant, a standpipe screws onto the outlet where the black cap is and a valve key is used on the square part to open the valve. Think fire brigade flushing fire hydrants and you will know what I mean.

Adding photos help
Thanks Stu, but even that is too far beyond a technophobe like me. Looks like a FOR SALE sign in the windscreen and park it up at the end of the drive.LOL Cheers.

Top Tip
Got the dreaded steering wheel shake, removed the 5mm spacers, fitted new antiroll bar bushes front and rear, new drop links front and rear, new steering rack bushes, and fitted some hubcentric rings and replaced the rubber bush on the steering shaft with the metal replacement. Well what a difference to the way the car handles now very responsive and no more wheel shake. Not a very expensive job but a bit af a PITA. Did this last week but only now has the swelling gone down on my fingers and the skin on my hands and knuckles grown back LOL, but a job well done.

Rear anti roll bar bolts
sorry mate ,are you thinking of the drop links? the bolts for the anti roll bar bushes go to captive nuts inside the wishbone arms

Rear anti roll bar bolts
Anyone had them shear when undoing to fit new bushes, if so what did you do. Started mine today and looks like a couple may shear if I persist, sprayed them with release oil and will leave overnight but not hopeful.

1 cylinder not firing, plus an unknown plug?
Sounds like an injector down on No6, check across the 2 terminals should get around 12.5 Ohms.

Swapping injector connectors
Just an update, got a cheap multi meter from Maplins and tested the injector reading was zero, spoke with Jeff at Zedworld and he is sending a second hand injector out. Cheers.

Swapping injector connectors
Thanks, will give it a go, or try and get a tester on it.
-
Swapping injector connectors
Thanks mate, so would swapping the connectors over cause the injector to open at the wrong time ?
-
Swapping injector connectors
I think I have got a injector failed, have done all the swapping of coil packs and plugs and cleaned all connectors. My next idea was to swap over the nearest injector connector to try and prove if it is the injector or a wiring fault, but not sure what triggers the injector to open so it still opens at the correct time. Any ideas? I dont have any testing equipment.

Baz, if you can find out if they are willing to make any minor adjustments, and I would pay for their time if they did, then I may be interested .

****** Why has LPG gone up too?
Had my land rover discovery just over a year now and LPG has gone from 62p a Litre to 75p a Litre. Just like everything else, I now seem to be working just to keep our heads above the water and I feel things are getting worse.

Not missed it
Just an update, Jeff and Jamie at Zedworld have now sorted this for me it was a combination of things wiring and faulty steering ECU and the drive back to Grimsby was a pleasure. Thanks to all at Zedworld including Lynda for the coffee and toast. Seems to be a few new names on this site so I guess there are some owners new to the 300 zx, remember this can be a complicated car to work on, if anyone needs work on these cars think carefully before taking it to a local garage it may work out better to take it to Zedworld with there vast knowledge. Sunshine in Grimsby today so will give the car a wash and go out for a pose. Cheers.

r u a truck driver
Being in Grimsby we are surrounded with HGVs coming off the docks here and at Immingham mainly using the A180/ M180. I also use this road alot going to and from work and can only say what a selfish bunch of tossers most HGV drivers are, dualing up a dual carriageway for miles, pulling out when they feel like it regardless of whats there and forcing there way onto the main road from sliproads. One morning on my way the work one lane was closed for repair and a 40mile an hour speed limit was in place the speed I was doing when one of these wagons can right behind me horn going lights flashing. So I slowed to 30 miles per hour and stayed there for about 5 miles with this **** getting more and more irrate. when the road works came to an end I allowed him to go past and gave him the finger, made my F***ing day.
