central heating fault
Sounds like the motorised valve is stuck open, isolate it electrically, operate it a few times manually, spray some WD40 on the mechanism/return spring, this usually frees them .

Dip dim removal
Just looked at my green relay and realised the terminals 1 and 2 are the opposite way round from the picture of the blue relay in the thread :slap: . Spent a long time in the scappy looking for a blue relay the other day they may be quite rare. Anyway the thread says earth, and feed from other relay go to terminals 1 and 2 which look to be the swiching terminals if the top of the relay is anything to go by, so maybe I should try fitting the wires the other way round on my green relay. Car is in body shop at present so cant do anything until it's back. We will get there in the end

Dip dim removal
Will give it a try, but an earth point on the chassis should be equal to the earth post of the battery, but willing to try anything now , it is beginning to annoy me .

Dip dim removal
Yes that sounds like the same one, only thing I had to use was a green relay instead of the blue one in the link, still a nissan one though, the numbers and pins all looked the same . If you managed to get the blue relay what car did it come off ?

sounds like the mod put up by darkside, do you have any instructions on how your mate wired them up ? are you talking about HID's ?

Dip dim removal
I think I am giving this thread the wrong title, having read other theads dip/dim refars to the dipped beam only coming on dim without the ignition on. The problem I have is the old one regards fitting HID's. What I need to do is when switching on my main beam I still want the dipped beam (HID's) to also stay on. As I have tried earthing the HID's to the body, and tried the mod with relay and diode as in the link Darkside put up. Any ideas please.

Speedo problems.
If it is an import with a speedo converter, it may be that that's at fault.

Dip dim removal
Just done this mod, didn't work, followed to the letter, double checked all connections, all that happened was with dipped HID,s on, stalk forward to put main beam on only 1 main beam bulb lit and HID,s off. disconnected all and put back to standard both main beams working O.K. But all now back as before, with dipped HID's on, switch to main beam and HID,s go off. Back to the drawing board !
