Next door neighbour had a black N/A import. I didn't fall in love with it straight away, but after a while I realised that they are so different to every other car. Now I won't rest until I have one parked on my drive.

I'm just shy! I log on everyday also, however, I'm still lacking what assembles this entire forum...a ZX! When I do finally get one, I will be much more involved!

I know a few people that have been to Jobseekers and they never failed to find them a job. Maybe it was just good luck or maybe because they were all manual labour jobs it was easier to find.

Stereotypes that 300zx owners face? I can imagine that many must associate Z owners with the boy racer crowds. Although it seems that the majority of the members of this forum seem to be well over the boy racer age group (no offence!). If there is a common conception that Z owners are boy racers, then does this make life harder when it comes to dealings with the fuzz? I know that generally the police don't cut any slack for boy racers, but how do the police handle situations when it comes to Z owners? When I had the 330, I never had any trouble with police and never got stopped at any time during my ownership of that car. However, in my opinion the Z looks a bit more conspicuous then a 330. With that in mind, do many of you get stopped at all? By that I mean, just a random stop and search, routine check, etc etc.

Honestly guys I am truly grateful for all the replies! I hope I didn't offend anyone with my opinion on the Jap spec cars! It's just I have never dealt with an import car before! There are some FANTASTIC cars for sale on the board, things are going swimmingly and I expect to have a Z very soon! What can you guys tell me about Z meetings? I know there are probably a topic regarding that topic already and I hope I don't seem lazy lol.

Everyones advice has been much appreciated and thanks Skyline for sharing such information with me mate. So all in all, 2k+ for a new engine and turbo? If I'm honest, that doesn't seem to bad at all, afterall I am going to be keeping the car for a long time so that seems worth it. Lol, you know the bad thing about purchasing a Z though? All the sellers live so bloody far. I know it's nice that there isn't much Z's about, but it seems like a bit of a curse too.
