  1. oh everyones awake still then :) i will be back up to 3 but the silver one is ready to be sold soon :) I look at myself as being like one of those old ladys that goes to the RSPCA centre and sees a pet and must home it before it gets put down :)
  2. With my red UK TT now in the car graveyard and my Jap TT shell due to leave me next weekend i have been feeling a bit deprived of a TT zed in my garage with only the silver shorty and slickie left  So therefore shook hands on a new shorty TT tonight that needs some work doing to it details will follow :) Marty
  3. From me i have some http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=147626

  5. lunatic has it on ebay now. not sure how he is getting 280bhp though http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/beautfull-grey-300zx-n-a-perfect-engine-/220746677939?pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item336586feb3
  6. I did it without removing the door card :) bit fiddly but easy to do with the right pliers. Good job :)
  7. Cat D write off can be all sorts of cosmetic things however will cause problems along the way as Tel said above. Mileage i wouldnt be bothered about either its just a haggling point. Still think it is overpriced compared to the rest of the market at the moment and i understand he wont take 3k for it but that is my valuation of it. For that money there is better examples about. Hell for that money you can buy one of my spare shorties may have 2 at the end of today :)
  8. i aint sure what he is charging for them but the UK ones were around £100 for the pair so its gonna be close to that
  9. no longer sold in UK iirc guy in Aruba is doing them now i have his contact details on facebook if your interested :)
  10. I was thinking of using something like this http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Brake-pipe-union-3-way-T-piece-/270708997637?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item3f07837e05 are the brake servos the same on NA and TT as well anyone? Its just my NA one has a different number on it to the TT one. Or is it that all shorties had different brake master cylinder as none of them have abs and the BM57 master cylinders were used on the LWB?
  11. just stick the zed on classic insurance its cheap :)
  12. maybe he is really Borat`s retard brother Bilo
  13. super cheers guys i want blue ones though i have red :( wanna swap :)
  14. sweet cheers Jeff i should have just give you a call earlier :)
  15. i think he just said something similar to that himself on another thread
  16. oh  and where might they be in by the flywheel or external?
  17. above you were too quick
  18. pain in the ass but here is what zedwizz sent me when i asked him Here is a quick guide for you. To polish the plenum you will need to remove it from the engine. To hold it while I polished it I made up a ‘T’ shaped jig out of a piece of wood so I could screw the plenum to it and clamp the wooden jig to a bench. It also makes it a good height to work on. I can take some picture of the wooden jig if you need. Next I used a 6-inch sanding disc (120 grit) to quickly take out most of the flashing and casting mismatch. I have something like this http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/3-In-1-CAR-POL...item1c15b7747e Mine came with a 6” Velcro pad, which can take 6” Velcro backed sanding, discs like these http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/SANDING-DISCS-...item2ea8a6a9c8 The 6-inch disc can be used to get most of the flat surfaces and makes short work of the dimpled affect also you can make sure everything is kept nice and flat. Some people use a smaller disc but you will end up with lumps and bumps, which show up when you get to the final polishing stage. Next I used a die grinder like this with and 2 inch sanding disk to get in all the nooks and cranes http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/PROFESSIONAL-1...item2c5485acb2 Then it is down to sand paper and finger power. Once you have all of the plenum smoothed down to 120 grit use wet and dry in every finer grades and water with a little drop of washing up liquid in. When the plenum gets a dull shine to it its time to get out the mops. I brought this kit http://www.frost.co.uk/item_Detail.a...ts&subCatID=49 All you will need is an electric drill and loads of time lol. Start with the course mops first and work your way to the cloth ones. Don’t use to much soap at once. Hope this helps.
  19. Its only that i read the TT master cylinder is better and more braking force as larger piston.
  20. I got a set of these and looking to wire them up. Want them on when the doors are open so i have looked at wiring into the door switch however when the door opens the wire on this switch turns negative so i need a positive supply from somewhere. Who has these and where did you wire them into? Marty
  21. ah i hear you Pete sounds like a plan how many bolts to lower the x member ive never looked?
  22. dont really wanna do that either i mean all i need is 10mm
  23. no im trying to remove it with the gearbox still in and split it in situ rather than unmount the gearbox
  24. Can you remove a NA engine without removing the autobox? Ive been trying today and the engine pulls forward but hits the steering rack on the sump and i just cant seem to get it past. Tried jacking up the autobox to give me some angle but nothing :( its only about 10mm off and if i lift the engine too much the gearbox just holds onto it. Anyone done this before as i cant be bothered removing exhausts and prop. Marty
  25. Ok ive got a TT brake master cylinder that has two unions for the brakes however my NA one has 4 unions as there is no ABS i presume so is it possible to fit the TT master cylinder? Also is there any difference in the servos between a TT and NA? Marty
