Ive just ordered my spacers today 25mm on the front and 15mm on the rear as recommended by funkysi when he did some figures with my offsets :)

what was their price on refurbing a set of alloys and did you send them with tyres on as well or just the rims? I take it they cant do 3 piece rims though

you need about 3-4 metres of material. I got 5 metres of alcantara from a limited stock and mine are in a tailors getting done now :)

a little more details would be nice like make of spacers that failed, car they were on, size of spacer, did it shear on the hubcentric studs or the vehicle studs?

I would bother personally as it gives your car alot better stance and look. As recommended by funkysi on the other site when i was asking as well. Also as it says it includes the nuts required to fit so as long as they are torqued up correctly there will be no issues

This would be interesting to know as my plans is to stick a TT lump in mine however if it could be done by using the NA lump and swapping over the manifolds would be very good news.

yours are 2 piece very few 3 piece rims about and most refurb companies wont touch 3 piece ones due to the seals

I would still go pistonheads that is where most of the nice cars appear imo however is plenty of lunatics over valuing. The experience i had with gumtree is it is full of scammers. Ebay is always good as long as it is a good advert but where ever you go you will unfortunately get tyre kickers

Its in and autobox is now hooked up and i started on the electrics today hopefully this weekend should have it running if all my parts turn up.

I got a ticket for parking over 2 hours in an industrial car park as i walked into town from there but they had cameras up to time you so i got a letter and fine. From advise on here i didnt pay it and they chase you for a while but as they cant prove you were driving they cant make you pay for it. Stopped chasing me after 2 letters. I dont think i could put my zed through that just think of the cleaning i would have to do. Ive got a couple of creaks on the suspension as it is so a full overhaul before i would get on the track

i think they are bigger on TT and the TT ones have BM 57 on the side howeevr that is for ABS as well. My slickie doesnt have ABS so i have 4 ports coming out of the BMC rather than 2 like the BM 57 one has. Ive looked at swapping but i dont think i will now
