  1. I agree its a advertising tactic that I don't like I. Would of given him 300 too
  2. ive gone for the nylon ones so will see if they do the job i mean i wasnt after anything special just a place that sold them without having to buy a pack of 100 well done to Tel for finding them :)
  3. Having owned both in tt manual version I'm confident that the shorty is easier to control as I find it more predictable but hey you really have to try it for yourself I did and that's one of the reasons I wouldn't have another lwb
  4. The shorty he bought off me is a 1995 but I also have my 92 slickie with them at a similar price. You need to have a main car to get it on classic insurance and I'm but sure if I said garaged or not. Either way great company to be with
  5. slickies rule remember you can't go selling after the work you have put in a real stunner
  6. Welcome to the club lady :)
  7. Good find Tel I think they will do the job cheers
  8. I did try telling everyone in the for sale ad but people see that they can get a lwb tt for half the price. Glad it went to a friend in the end now ill get my shorty ready and see you at the pod
  9. That is a potential however I don't have anything to hold and cut the bar to the right length which is why I wanted to buy a spacer of the right length. As these hold the seat to the frame as well I wanted to make sure there is going to be no excess stress out on them which could strip the threads in the seat
  10. What a lovely zed :) she is truly in good hands with the amount of parts in your attic
  11. Hey i have been looking over google and cant find what i need therefore im pretty sure someone on here will be in the trade or know where to get these from. I need to basically put a spacer in between a bracket and the seat im screwing into. There is 10 mm gap to cover so i was either thinking of using something like what you see in the pic which would be best or simply a cylindrical metal spacer. Thread is 8mm and just cant find the threaded pillars in 8mm thread as i only need 8 of them. So to recap the gap to cover is 10mm and the thread on the seat is 8mm and ideal if the pillar is 8mm too. Marty
  12. somehow i read it as the other way hmm i saw roof
  13. dunno where you have been but you cant even get 600 for a manual conversion at the moment
  14. I just thought it says not running at the moment but also has a sound engine and gearbox????? a sound engine would be running
  15. He has already stated it needs welding and with no pics of the arches id say that it is rotting underneath and failed mot. As for the manual conversion there is a few around at the moment so prices are down if i broke it id want to know that i could make back the money pretty easily
  16. Not sure if it is worth breaking either. The shell is UK so its rotting away not sure how much I could make up for the rest of it
  17. What type for a start?
  18. Zedward is off the road awaiting me fitting the Exedy clutch and flywheel plus plenty more goodies :)

  20. Yep the outer parts of the rear bumper are metal and they have a habit of collecting water and rusting hence they are off at the moment wheres it at send the link :)
