  1. personally i would go with Japspeed kit. I have DW on my fronts as i got them cheap on ebay new, but will be going with Japspeed on the rear.
  2. Anyone else dabble a bit in the markets i use a great platform site called interactive investor and have am doing ok :D My shares are up 15% in 2 days and i expect them to continue to rise this week. Currently on a profit so not just making losses back result :)
  3. Cheers Mark look like very good turbos but I wouldn't say they are the best necessarily you would still need all the rest to get them sort of bhp figures
  4. Have you got anymore details on these as I would like to see how they compare against the speciality z ones
  5. fuel pump fairly easy in the boot fuse under bonnet in the small fuse panel by the brake reservoir
  6. theory sounds right just whether the standard water pump can cope. Cooling is all about surface area so the more surface area you had to be cooled the more cooling could be done
  7. So would you be using this for 99% of zeds here which are road going or are talking about a track set up for the 1% that are at that stage and do serious tracking. For the best road and track combination on aftermarket parts getting the thing set up properly can be done by a number of garages and also have the default settings that you can get off here
  8. Can't see the video on my phone but I know this is something controversial that I would like :)
  9. I like controlling something so far out of control that's why I go on mad builds. its ok though I haven't had a zed before I've been on other cars but I don't think anyone from here has seen me before :)
  10. welcome mate :) what version of the zed have you got for a moment I thought it might be another slicktop
  11. Im not sure if you have any room to go wider on the rear but I would go as much as you could with track tyres like the tripple 8s. Weight on the rear and take off? Well its rear wheel drive so will bite down on take off so the weight difference of a hatch isn't gonna make a difference. Lower pressures on the rear will give you more bite but I think for large power those tyres are pretty narrow. Have a look at speciality z's zed and what they are running on tyres as they are putting out over 700 at the wheels be a good way of gauging what would be best
  12. Ive got greddy pipework not being used
  13. I haven't got the time to come and check and have no need to. If you have cut the sills open to have a look then yes there will be no rust however to buy a UK spec just runs a far greater risk of there being unseen rust and maybe on some imports depending on how long they have been over here. I think mine was imported about 4 years ago so im happy.
  14. Mines 5k agreed value on the insurance. Zeds are always worth more in parts. UK specs equal rust in my eyes even ones that look good from the outside underneath and where you can't see will he full of rust or filler.
  15. Uk manual tt with a respray virtually standard still wouldn't pay more than a grand
  16. ha ha i have plenty of time to read on my journeys here and there and in starbucks.
  17. The whole point of going for this in my mind was because no body else would justify spending that much on the kit therefore I would have the only one. Talk of molds and reselling it just devalue it when you will end up with some crap zeds with it on with half job resprays and poorly fitted. that's the whole reason im but gonna go with a zcenter wide arch kit or anything that it likely people over here will get as the whole point is to be individual. Think I will be having the plans for my wide arch patented or whatever I need to do to keep grubby mits from copying it.
  18. The white one is the shorty that was a custom kit that's why it looks good
  19. Everyone has different views on here about the zed. Everyone has their own dreams and how much money they are willing to spend. If you don't want to have those dreams of a show winning zed then fine by you. Im quite happy to drop 50k into my zed to complete it as I would never sell it I'd just buy something else if I wanted a new project. If voddy has them dreams then let him go for it and stop talking about it costs too much of cause it does if you want what no one else has or everybody would be throwing wide arch kits on. I know when im done I will win shows and be top of the dyno board but hey its my money to burn I earn it. If you can't afford it then stick with what you have and support others not just put them down with your views cos you can't do it too much of that on this forum.
  20. It will be 4.5k ish to get it to your door. 4k plus for a bodyshop that is capable of fitting and spraying it good luck with it
  21. Its possible to thread them in behind the back of the cam plates and down and they come out below the idler gear iirc
  22. Dino has some zed bride rails I think I saw not long ago
