  1. That what i used to do when i did kinda general fitness about 2 years ago and that is better suited for bodybuilding stylecof training. I Find the best thing i ever did was doing fast twitch muscle work, so do 8x3 at 60-70% of your 1RM with 1 minute rests between sets, helped a lot on my explosiveness since I definitely consider myself a slow lifter. Thats why i think the cube method will be the way to go, you get your strength days, explosive days and repetition days.
  2. They are 35w, and well dim enough that i can actually barely see where the light is shining, kinda hard to properly describe how dim but dim enough to make me feel extremely uneasy driving with them. I can't think i fitted them incorrectly, unless I've been an utter moron, everything clicked into place and checked to make sure they weren't rattling loose? Maybe is just faulty. I have mailed the company on ebay to see what they have to say.
  3. Car is UK spec, triple checked before buying since got confused as spent a lot of time lurking on the american forums and saw the 9006 (iirc) mentioned first of all, then H3c for jap and all that. Cool! I love it personally, just finished doing a 5x5 and now doing 2 4 week cycles of 5/3/1 before a little friendly gym powerlifting competition, hoping for the 500kg combined lift. Will be doing something along the lines of the cube method with strong man in the new year, so more focus on pressing and event training :) Only started properly training around March/April time but coming on leaps and bounds so far! I personally seem to do best training nearly every day, i'm minimum 5 days a week but when i start the cube method will likely end up 6 days
  4. Have adjusted headlights roughly to not far away from where they should be, but going to get them done properly when I have time (doing kitchen renovations and fixing a dishwasher for my mum right now and training for strongman/powerlifting competitons so not much spare time!) Adjuster are a bit iffy but can get them roughly in place, did wonder if they werent seated correctly but not tried moving them around yet. And yes I do a lot of country driving, but so does everyone here, its mainly country raods so constantly meeting cars and therefore hardly ever using main beam, hence why i wanted to brighter low beams :) And they are H3 yes. I have read about them taking a while to start working properly, might see if it improves over time as well. Also earthed the -ve for constant low beam at the same time :thumbup1:
  5. Yeah i'll try and at least clean the inside, might wait until i do the 120k service to split the light which isn't too far away. What puzzles me is going straight to HIDs and finding them dimmer, which makes me thinks its more of a problem with the unit itself rather than the headlight?
  6. Rating was 4300k. Not cleaned lenses properly, is there an easy way to get to the outside of them without separating the headlight?
  7. Hi all, recently installed HIDs onto my car but found them dangerously dim when driving in the country (which is where i do the majority of my driving) Found the standard bulbs were bad but these are shocking. This is the kit i bought, seemed to get a fairly decent review http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/330789047472?_trksid=p2059210.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT Just wondering if anyone else used this kit and had any problems? Tried to adjust the headlights, but didnt have a proper area to do it but seem fairly close to where they should be, will try and get them spot on tomorrow and see if it makes much difference (probably not!)
  8. Hi all, quick question, what size of blanks would i need for taking out the recirc valves?
  9. They are definitely a "kock-off" TE37 but they never came in this size - - - Updated - - - That should be "knock-off" not kock off haha
  10. They are extremely similar to a Rota, but far lighter and not branded. The person who had them on the Supra actually replaced them with Grids. Would love to know what they are, they are stupidly lightweight. Not sure on colour. Do kinda like the white. The original plan was bronze 9.5 GTRs all round (cause I can't afford Nismo LMGT4s :tongue_smilie:) so might have to play around with photoshop a bit. And thanks for the offer on the Springs but think I'll be going down either the BC or HSD coilover route
  11. So got these at a stupid low price from a friend with 265 tyres all round. Long story but the White ones no one seems to know what they are (were originally on a wide body Supra) and one cracked (they are magnesium wheels so uber light but not overly strong as you can imagine!) So anyways the cracked one was beyond repair, the guy that owned them sold them to a guy with a crazy Scooby, he ordered a Varrstoen one since it looked similar. While it does the Varrstoen had a slightly bigger lip than the rest, and an offset of 22 instead of 20 like the white ones. So he offered them to me with tyres for a whopping £350. So test fitted them, clear everything ( minor scrubbage of arch liners but thats no worry really) So plan is to buy another Varrstoen to run on the back since it has a bigger lip, get adjustable arms to sort out alignment and coilovers but wont be slamming it, just a subtle drop, then need to decide on a colour for them. And yes these will be removed since the rears are 2 different offsets Also please excuse the funny coloured passenger door, I swear it's the lighting :o Anyway here's some rubbish pics
  12. Yeah i know all about it! But fairly handy mechanic, had my 1st car at 14 which i managed to save from the scrappy and had about 10-12 all together which i've done all the work on myself. So hopefully with the help of a few how-tos and the service manual i should be good
  13. He lives near Essex? Who the hell jave i been visiting them!? :confused1::confused1:
  14. Cheers guys, got a brilliant offer on a set of wheels for it already. Tyre on the car right now are diabolical, and quickly found are expensive to replace being such an odd size. I'm up in the Shetland islands. So yeah, basically in the middle of the North Seas.
  15. Hi guys, bit of a re-intro but basically got my Z on Sunday after wanting one for 13 years. Brother had one that i see is kicking about the forums (G356PWT) when i was 7 and now 13 years later i bought one. It pulls strong and is fairly clean. See it's had a boost conrtoller and boost guage (I'm taking a guess at it but holes in the centre console and on top the steering column presuably for hose/wires) but apart from that is totally standard to my knowledge. Anyhoo here is the only photo i have right now, been too busy driving it.
  16. Actually a common thing in America to chop the front of the car off and sell it, seen a few bought/sold on the US forum. Its usually for engine swaps, so everything you need is there.
  17. Did anybody else notice when the scooby rolled out of the tunnel that it had no prop or exhaust or brake lines?
  18. I used this website alot, then i lost it:rofl::rofl: Thank you for finding it for me:hyper:

  22. welcome to the club. The exhaust is a HKS hiper/hi-power (hiper is just hi-power shortened) not sure if there are many places in the uk that supply the exhaust, other members may be able to help better about where to get it.
  23. looks great. Awsome job mate.
  24. ECR33 HKS F-CON V piggyback ecu, though im not sure how much modifications are needed.
