NIStune ECU
Was going to start learning how to map this but decided to go a different direction now. Only problem the pot for sending the car into diagnostic mode is broken, was like that when I got it but never bothered me as I just used the OBD port. Has base map on it so is literally plug and play. Asking for £210 plus shipping

Found an exhaust at last
I have a trust exhaust on mine and i love it, apart from it only being 2.25" iirc. Going to eventually modify it up to a 3" but for now its fine.

Rebuilding heads - mystery seals
In the process of refreshing the heads on my car and have 2 seals that I can't for the life of me rember where they go? Been looking through the service manual and trying on czp and z1 to find it but can't see it. Can anyone shed some light for me?

120k service kit/ OEM gasket kit and GT2554 kit in UK
Cool thanks for that. Had a feelin that might be the case, searches didnt bring up much for parts for the car, so yeah probably be for the best to stuck to Z1 or JWT kit turbo wise. Shame there isn't much in the way of upgrades available here for these cars

120k service kit/ OEM gasket kit and GT2554 kit in UK
Also like i said will be doing a compression test, and if it passes that will also do a leak down test to be sure everything is in an acceptable condition

120k service kit/ OEM gasket kit and GT2554 kit in UK
True, its sunday and im not thinking straight haha. But there are no signs of blowby or worn rings, intake piping is clean, no misses, still pulls as well as it always has despite leaving a James Bond style smoke screen! (Not using it at all but had to use it today as had no other means of transport) But will get tested regardless and like i say the stem seals will be replaced (along with all other gaskets in the kit) for piece of mind.

120k service kit/ OEM gasket kit and GT2554 kit in UK
Cheers mate! Not done compression yet but will be doing once i get a tester. My original plan was always getting the 2554s so thought might as well now rather than spend more to rebuild then upgrade again later. Realise there's potential the rings/stem seals could be the culprit. Z1 gaskket set comes with new stem seals anyway, and heads will come off to do headgasket so can inspect rings then and replace if necessary

120k service kit/ OEM gasket kit and GT2554 kit in UK
Well my car blew its turbo seals the other day so plumes of blue smoke, LOVELY! So taking it in the garage for a massive maintenance and upgrade session over the next few month. So basically anywhere i can get the above in the UK? I can get it all from Z1 where i plan on getting other bits and pieces but import taxes will shaft me, and on apprentice wages right now so trying to save where i can (note that doesnt mean cheaping out on parts!)

hks evc 5?
Found one of these on ebay, like the look of them and having the split controller/dis[lay. Has anyone had any experience using them, how user friendly they are and how good they are at holding boost?

Downpipe removal
Looking over on the yank forums most say it's quicker (or less hassle anyway) to remove the gearbox to remove these? Is this the case with UK specs and all? Just wasn't sure if there would be much difference between US and UK spec regarding the layout of everything.

A few spotted bits on ebay that I can't afford to buy.....
Are those SMICs not the ones that were basically ASH-Spec knock offs? If so i want them!

Misfire at idle and off boost
Will give that a try when the snow disappears. In the process of making a simple smoke leak tester to see if there is a vacuum leak

Misfire at idle and off boost
Never checked actually, would be brilliant if that's all that's wrong!

Misfire at idle and off boost
Have a misfire problem. Misses at idle and when cruising off boost. On boost still pulls all the way to the redline. Also when coming off the throttle when not under boost it seems to cut off and stop abruptly and launches you forward in your seat (rubbish explanation I know!) Symptoms also are worse when the car is cold. Any ideas?

Square or staggered tyre setup
Bit off topic but can you supply NIStune board with a mapping license for myself? Just it would cost me nearly £1k before fuel, accommodation and mapping costs to come down and get mine mapped when I've done my mods so been doing a lot of research and want to go down the self mapping route, so looking for someone to supply me with one. Also is the new feature like anti lag, total injector multiplier and all that going to be available for the VG engine or is there no sign of that so far?
-
Square or staggered tyre setup
Yeah I realise there will be a good bit if stretch (google images gives a good idea) but it's not enough to annoy me (down to personal choice of course, but world would be a boring place if we all liked the same thing!) But again not set on anything, hence why i wanted opinions :)

Square or staggered tyre setup
Already test fitted wheels before buying, fit fine, slight scrubbing for arch liners on full lock with the 265, but apart from that was all okay, plus they were magnesium so can lift them with 2 fingers and were at ridiculous mates rates. Plus wont be going mental low or ridiculous camber, more interested in getting as much grip as possible out of it. And no im not a fan of mental stretch for the sake of stretch, I like a good balance of function and form. Did think about a 245/275 staggered setup? Wonder if there is really much advantage going for a 245 over a 235 on a non track car?
-
Square or staggered tyre setup
Basically have got 10" wheels going to be fitted and currently on 265 all round but are pretty much on the legal limit, so wondering from people experience whether these cars handle better with a square or staggered setup? More concerned about grip and handling than looks (but wide tyre look cool as anyway :) )
