hi peeps, bit stuck everytime i go to upload pics, either here or photobucket, i have NO browse feature? so i cant upload picture's or manage attachments, slightly annoying! I can't even copy and paste from photobucket :wack: whats going on, any idea's? cheers greg

you can pick up cheap suspension arms for next to nothing anyway mate, so get them replaced away from any insurance claim's and get it aligned after. glad your ok though bud :duffer:

LOL @light panel, no problem anyway bud :cool: you need to check from cold, there should be some resistance when trying to spin the blade on the viscous, if the fan spins freely with no drag, then its time for a new one like yesterday! if theres resistance and it stops almost instantly then, it should be fine you cannot test it with engine up to temp, or even cooling down it needs to be stone cold also if it whines or sounds like a big jet taking off, it probably is on its way out aswell there about £160 from nissan IIRC for just the viscous unit, fan blade is seperate and is around £60 the blades suffer from cracks, and it has been known to come away from the viscous, does cause alot of mess when spinning at 4k rpm :wack: , very rare though. greg

in one way you will gain with an electric fan, but the the extra drain on the alternator will be the same, as andy has said, most of the viscous fans are getting on and not spinning aswell @ high load RPM or even in traffic, so a new one will benefit the v6, as we all know the engine bay gets hot with all that metal under there :wack: ask people who have killed there heads from a failed viscous fan, legrath amongst other's so check your viscousity :smash:

eibach pro will drop it more than 20mm, besides there progressive, and putting lowering springs on already worn shocks, will kill the worn shocks even sooner, so might be worth going with new shocks at the same time :cool: ps.. that front bumper trim you required was ripped on mine si, so no good mate, sorry for late reply.

yep sure does mate, no scraping and i had full bodykit, check your shocks aswell if there in poor condition, fitting new springs will kill the shocks even more! kyb agx are a good shock and is ajustable via damping :cool:

eibach pro springs, approx 35mm drop and there progressive, nice spring rate, only slightly stiffer than stock. But are highly recomended :cool:

if its just from cold start, and at no other time, i would imagine valve stem seals, nothing to worry about in the short time but would need attention eventually greg

i do have one like wew £50, just another option, and as you say cheaper than nissan :smash:

sounds hydrolocked, as above remove the plugs and turn over the engine by hand via the crank pulley, not sounding good though, bent rod me thinks
