If you think about it! the gearbox transmits the power to the diff then to the wheels! so if you change the diff ratio, it will cut a fair amount of top speed, no matter what the final drive of the transmission does! The diff determines what it will do. But have driven two 300s with shorter ratio differentials and its much more fun, even if you top out at 150ish
