Timing well out
either a faulty cas or the cambelt has jumped a tooth as you have said. take the cover off the front right side, turn crank until marks correspond with marks on engine, you will then tell what it is.

Timing well out
at 16 being slightly advanced, you can always knock the boost back say 1psi as it will be the equivelent to running an extra psi of boost in one way or another.

limits of standard engine?
they dont max out at 14psi! they max out at around 15.5 to be pedantic about it. :wack: people forget though, that its not just about engine tune. But clogged faulty injectors can cause similar problems, so you take your chance whatever you do. 555s are worth the extra revenue, but harldy worth it on stock t25s to be fair.

Dry Sump Test :)
also means the engine will sit lower, which in turn should give a better handling car? might be wrong on that though :wack:

300zx drift machine, bearing gone
you can check the beaing surface for a copper surface, this will indicate wear, downside is replacing the bearing/s in situ is more often than not your masking a problem. and likely hood they will fail in a short space of time! worth a try though the question you need to ask is what caused the wear in a short space of time! read the manual the numbers are stamped on the counter weight end of the crank. You then take them numbers and tally them up with the numbers on bearing caps, as you have eagle rods, you may have to use oversize. make sure you put a bit of moly on the bearing surface before re assemble greg

Gearbox guru's
if the gator proves to be ok, then the following noises prove one or the other clutch pedal down and noise (release bearing) clutch pedal up and noise (possible input shaft bearing) try a fluid change with some decent oil. other than that its wear and tear and will be fine for thousands of miles in any case.
