hi mate a tailgate skin isent needed,you can weld up the holes smoothed and painted will be easier as im sure with a tailgate skin you need to smooth the whole tailgate also IIRC :)

have you got the rad now then?

no ;) i did but i had a whining viscous fan so it made sense to clean rad and change coupling dident need to remove fan shroud at all undo 4 bolts attached to water pump then remove fan,shroud and rad in one motion sounds difficult but easy tip if removing viscous fan remove 2bolts turn key in ignition really quickly so the fan spins a few degrees then you can access the other 2 bolts at the bottom. :cool: if your a bit worried pop down mine and il help you greg

yep dead easy mate turn key in ignition leave car running for 30secs with heater on max!get underneath car unclip the fan shroud repeat process at top bit fiddly so watch your fingers undo the bonnet stay clips carefully remove upper then lower hose watch hands as the water may be a little hot!carefully lift up rad slowly quite a tight fit and out she comes. for cleaning attach hosepipe to upper inlet and turn hose on not to much though,get rid of all that dirty sh**y water :rolleyes: repeat process with rad tighten all clips repeat process correct mix of anti-freeze and then top up car slowly! when confident the car is full start her up let her heat up to normal operating temprature if temp needle rises more water is needed keep topping up until full :)

i like the 8-series,i know the z is expensive but i think these cars if not cared for will cost you alot more than a z for parts IIRC as one of my friends has one! like all beemers arent they electronically limited to 155mph spose its easy enouth the remove the limiter :confused: they look best in black IMO greg
