Stereo fitting questions
thing is is with some stereos, you dont need half the wires they come with, extra plugs etc are for added features, like remote for the amp rds leads etc etc to save the agro im sure its poss to just buy a connector to go from existing loom to stereo, takes all of 2mins to fit aswell

grinding clutch!?
its either release bearing or at worse layshaft, normally release bearing noise dissapears when clutch pedal is pressed in! so if its the other way around?clutch may be suspect if it hasnt been replaced, get the release bearing done at the same time, which normally comes in a new clutch kit anyway, and go from there

Dont need to worry about tapping engine!!
hopefully nick due to the low speed no damage would of been caused, even though tolerances are tight you may be lucky, seen a few zs that have had a damaged timing belt and haven been fine when new belt and tensioner was fitted

Might be putting these rims on my Zed.
one good thing si! rims that style are normally very light,TBH looking at them i think there much better than the ones you have currently more subtle i do prefer a nice 5spoke though

Dont need to worry about tapping engine!!
tensioner should be replaced with cambelt every time, that fails sometimes before the belt :(
-
loosing coolant from rear of engine!!!
main culprit is the hose directly above bellhousing rear passenger side, remove battery and use jump leads so you can start car and directly below the EGR intake on the manifold is a small hose approx 4inch long which feeds the passenger turbo its hidden by a metal bracket which normally covers the EGR pipe and secures the o2 sensor lead to it,but as you have had the engine out it may not be there!tricky bit is removing the small metal clamp clips replace with silicone and reuse the metal clips,if this is where the leak is coming from greg

Air Con
get car up to temp with rad cap off leave heater on max remove bleed screw on left side keep topping up until all bubbles have dissapeared, try squeezing the back heater matrix hoses when warm common place to find an airlock hold revs to around 3k whislt doing this to expel all the air from the systym
