Yes im sure of the sizes, and tbh the lag wont increase that much in comparison to FMIC, and the design isnt going to be as good as hks, but considering they are about 1/20 th of the price, you cant complain :nono: They are from the landrover 300tdi :cool: there are a few on ebay just now, but please dont buy them all up, as i ned to wait till next week to buy mine, thats why i was so hesitant to tell :wack:

ok got a message back from the guy, the sizes are 425mm long, 200mm wide by 90mm deep. Does that sound good to everyone here ? :D

It doesnt look too much bigger, just thicker, looks to be about 3.5 inch in the pics, they guy is breaking the car and i noticed the cooler looks to be close in relation to the 300zx one, of course some piping will need to be made up, but not much. finger crossed :cool:

Can someone post a pic, with dimensions of the standard 300zx SMIC ? as i might have found a very cheap uprated replacment, but need to do someone measuring and my car is 50 miles away for the next week or so :smash:

the input splines are the same AFAIK, but i dunno about the output, that will need to be explored :D I just hope the lengths are the same roughly :smash:

The R33 box is definately not the same as the VG :smash: As i said the VG has an external shifter, the RB box is internal. I would aslo need to have a look at props, see if they have the same yoke or whether i need to get one made :duffer:

yes they do fit, that i know :D im just concerned about length, as the vg box has an external shifter mech, the Rb box is internal, and im just wondering where the shifter would sit if i bolted it up :slap: if its roughly the same then im one step closer to manual :dance:

Can anyone tell me the dimensions of the Z32 TT manual box ? Im looking for the length from the centre line of the shifter position, to the end of the box MINUS the bellhousing. reason being i mite be getting an R33 skyline box for free, and was thinking about converting my car to manual using that box, but need to know if it will fit first :)

if you look for a thread on heater matrix, a 300zx one will set you back £200 odd quid, whereas if you buy one from a P10 primera, it fits with only slight modding to the heater box ;) and they go for around 60 quid brand new :dance:

been looking at getting an oil cooler for my autobox, can anone tell me how hey did theirs ? was looking at a 16 row oil cooler on ebay and get lines made up at my local pirtek. but some info on how other people have done it ( pics are a bonus :)) would be a great help. thanks

being a rover they will probably break all the time, but then we are used to zeds, so wouldnt be much of a change for us :xxx:

if my engine goes i think i may go for that conversion, would make it alot easier to work on :smash::p ive seen a few RB26 swaps, never seen the rb25 done before though :bow:

been to NL a few times, and took day trips to belgium. tbh it was a very pretty place, but very boring, although go to a pet shop called klein america (sp), it had every kind of animal possible for sale, nearly bought a raccoon :slap:
