  1. They do look a quality set. How much were they if you don't mind me asking?
  2. They say "You hold other end in hand"
  3. ;) lol Why didn't he just buy a Supra and fook that up instead?
  4. I'll give it a go bud, but I replaced the glass and rebuilt the door at the end of last year so it shouldn't be that dirty (yet).
  5. Thanks very much for that Jeff. I haven't got any broken joints but won't hurt to resolder the bits you've popinted out as well.
  6. yep, I'll second that.. :euro:
  7. It's the picture Mark, when you look at them straight on in normal light they are a dull grey.
  8. There's a few differences. The main one being that the UK spec zed was only available as a 2+2 TT. Other stuff like folding mirrors on jdm, rear fogs on UK etc. This will give you a bit more info; http://www.300zx.org.uk/mod_comp_1.htm
  9. true It's all the white metal suspension parts that I'm loving bud. Not to mention the quality of Hasegawa's moulds. And at nearly 36cm long it would make a stunning model.
  10. Wasn't it a problem with warping or something?
  11. Looking forward to it mate :thumbup1:
  12. Right, I've taken the amp apart and found a few dull joints. It's very hard to tell on the pic but all the ones marked with a red dot are dull when compared to the other joints. Next job is to re-heat the dull ones and see if that fixes the problem.
  13. I'll get it off and have a look :thumbup1:
  14. No, but i bet it's all good
  15. you ain't size the size of my pry bar ;)
  16. iirc all UK's were fitted with cast iron callipers.
  17. Got a strange one on my drivers side window. It goes down as expected but is really slow and weak going back up. It's so weak that it can't close properly on the rubber and I have to open the door to get it to go the full travel.. It feels as though the motor isn't getting enough power. I'm not sure what's causing this as it's fine powering down. Any ideas?
  18. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/HASEGAWA-1-12-NISSAN-300ZX-FAIRLADY-Z-TWIN-TURBO-MODEL-NEW-/181024280632?pt=Model_Kit_US&hash=item2a25e35038 Bit expensive but probably the best plastic kit available of the zed  I've got a hasegawa 1/32nd scale F86 Sabre and the detail they put in is amazing.
  19. 10 years is still plenty of time though. At the end of the day (as you know) it's all down to how well it's looked after rather than whether it's an import or not. That's what I've noticed. I've seen some shocking jdm rust buckets yet my UK is rust free, I can only put it down to after care. Still, that's some bad rust..
  20. It's potentially been in the UK since '95, plenty of time for the tin worm to get a good feed.
  21. Nought wrong with a boring oil burner mate, at least we don't have to spend a lot of time under the bonnet..lol
  22. Welcome to the club matey :)
