Toothpaste (non bicarb stuff) is very good for bringing up faded plastic. It's an old modellers trick used on cockpit canopies to make them clearer. The bicarb toothpastes scratch the plastic, hence they're not used.

Can't help you but when I was disposing of my old tailgate last year I decided to take the grinder to it then skip it. I went to break the glass first and was surprised how little effort it took to do. One mild tap with a rubber mallet was enough to shatter it into fragments that just pushed out. I was surprised because I would have thought that shutting the tailgate on the car was a bigger shock than the little tap I gave it.

Check that you haven't lost a wheel weight after they balanced them bud. One of mine fell off due to it not being stuck on properly. Probably not but worth checking just in case.

so it does, what the hell am I thinking of then?? lol I've got the same sbc but It's been ages since I installed it. I'll have a look and see how I've done mine, as I just installed it and left it, haven't set it up yet but it does read -12 on idle.

I'm sure I read somewhere that you need to make sure that the vac line to the controller is only used by it, not shared with anything else. Also might sound daft but the SBC is in PSI mode not something else?

is the boost controller sharing the vac line from the BB with anything?

Really sorry to hear this mate, my mum was diagnosed with cancer last year as well :( Hope you make a full recovery, and have a much better 2013.
