years after it's been painted? would have thought that they would have appeared much sooner than that if it was a moisture problem at the time of painting. Saying that, it's certainly reacted to something.

The booster makes it much easier to control the clutch, but as gonzo says, you'll find it very hard to source a s/h one due to them being sold as part of the conversion kit. New ones are extremely expensive as well.

It does mate, as you say just plug in a vac line from the sender to the BB and your done.

It looks like a calibration pot to me, would probably be set at the factory with an oscilloscope or something..

I got my clamps from there too, much better than standard jubilee clips as the don't pinch like jubilees can.
