  2. Losing the stone chip is a lot of work and involves a huge amount of sanding, does look the nuts though when done. And no your not being boring, nothing wrong with the stock look at all :thumbup1:
  3. ^^^ what he said ^^^ removing the stonechip also takes years of the car. However if you want to keep it then have a search on swage line (sp?) as there are suitable replacements available. HTH
  4. iirc it's the AIV that gurgles when blocked. Have a read here about deleting it as it's not worth fixing. http://s95014253.onlinehome.us/63104/137858.html PS. Don't worry about the bit about causing problems with passing emissions test as that doesn't effect us in the UK

  8. I think he's referring to this being asked many times before and a lot of different answers being given. Basically a good quality 10w/40 semi-synthetic is the best all round. There's lots of info on the site about oils, have a search and you'll find what you need. HTH.
  9. Your zed will implode as the front will want to go backwards and the back will want to go forwards..... Haven't got a clue mate.

  16. Check the two hoses at the back of the engine. They go from engine to firewall and connect up the heater matrix.
  17. Can you take a picture of them? Would help us tell exactly what they are.

  21. mine was soldered in on my jdm :(
  22. Fair do's mate, you might be able to unplug it since it's a quality one. Car should run as normal with it unplugged.
  23. You should be able to just cut the loom and remove the timer, cover the ends of the wires with insulating tape as a quick fix. Once it's a bit drier out there you can unsolder the wires to remove properly. iirc the timer doesn't break any connections with the ign. loom. or as vods says, unplug it if you can. My old one didn't have a pluggable loom, but then it wasn't an HKS one.
