I'm having a real job trying to get my o/s cat off the manifold. I've removed the 3 bolts from the studs but the bugger won't come off. Tried all the usual methods i.e soaking in wd40, whacking it with a mallet and pry bars but it won't budge :headvswal The engine was out late last year so I don't think it's rust causing it. I'm wondering if the previous owner has used some sort of sealant on it that's sticking it. The n/s one came off easily. I'm reluctant to heat it, unless I have to, as I'll probably just end up setting myself on fire :mac1: Anybody have any ideas how I can get it off? cheers Dave

Yeah, I love my GSi too, but I need something bigger so I can get all my fishing gear in it :cool: Now that I've got a TT zed I can't justify the GSi anymore :cry:

Is it just you that smells it or can others smell it as well?

Don't know about the shocks mate, but I'd also check that your bushes aren't worn.

standard tubs can go up to 500bhp I think. The pistons can't tho'

My old zed was running 15psi, which was nice :) New one is standard boost :( Well until I put my old engine in it :D:

I'll take that as no then!..lol OK, Can you put a set of front stock zed callipers on the rear wheels? Would they fit and/or cause any problems i.e. unbalanced braking?

I'm draining it before I take it off my breaker, but that said my other zed needs this doing as well! Hope that has a drain plug :x: I think it needs to be dexron II fluid and about 8L but don't quote me on that!
