  1. that's a good idea! Cheers mate :duffer:
  2. ...vacuum feed pipe (6mm) from my mechanical boost gauge to the balance bar? I know a lot of people have rooted wires through the bonnet release wire grommet on the bulkhead, but I didn't want to put the vacuum pipe through there as it looks a bit tight. With oil and water wires already going through there, I'm worried it may kink the pipe? Is there another way I can feed this pipe? Cheers for any help Dave
  3. I've done better than that mate! I've found the alarms manual  Looks like there are two green wires that are used to bypass part of the ignition switch. All I need to do is connect the green wires together and, hopefully my car will start :x: Will try it tomorrow and report back. Thanks for all help folks :duffer:
  4. Was always my intention to get a toad alarm fitted, looks like I'll have to move that job up the list! lol
  5. erm, might of done..lol It always used to start in park tho' This is what I was thinking, any idea how I fix it, or is it time to get an auto sparky on it?
  6. My zed hasn't been run for a couple of months as I'm doing a lot of work on it. Went to start it today and nothing happened  All the electrics work, battery is fully charged but when I turn the key it does nothing, not even a click :headvswal The car had an alarm fitted but the previous owner had disabled it. While doing the interior I removed the (and chucked!) the alarm control box as I didn't think it was doing anything. All that I left was the wiring that is going to the ignition switch. Could this be my problem? Could I have inadvertently disabled the ignition? Help!!
  7. Welcome to the club mate :)
  8. Don't know then mate. Take some pictures, somebody will know what it is :)
  9. Don't know about the wire, but the thing under the drivers side plastic is your ABS actuator.
  10. That's great, keep the nova boys happy!
  11. Are you sure it's your heater matrix? It might be your targa drain plug or ac overflow that's leaking. Both will tend to wet the passenger floor.
  12. Welcome matey :)
  13. Welcome matey :)
  14. The centre section should bolt onto the ends of the cats, unless you are decatting the exhaust.
  15. Glad I didn't stay up for this one! Hatton should retire now.
  16. about 4.5l or so but some will remain in the cooler.
  17. Cool mate, we'll be nice to you now! lol
  18. Welcome mate. I've got a 93 UK TT as well, cost me £1500 of ebay. Luckily it is more or less rust free. I'd recommend you lift the carpet as the floor pans at the rear of the seats are prone to tin worm! Hope you get yours sorted as they are fantastic cars.
  19. Cheers for all the help peeps. Neil mate, I'll pm you later about the sandwich plate, on me mob at the moment and my fingers are cramping up :wack: fyi, I've gone down the prosport blue smoked dials road. They will look really sweet when I've fitted them :hyper:
  20. Welcome mate :) I'd take it along to Jeff at ZedWorld, he'll sort you out.
  21. I'm going to fit 5 new gauges to my zed :smash:; Boost, oil pressure, water temp, air/fuel ratio and volts. However I have a few questions. 1. Can I just connect the water temp sensor wire from the gauge to the left hand temp sensor at the front of the engine? 2. The oil pressure gauge came with a sender, according to the instructions I need to get a sandwich plate thing that goes between the engine and oil filter. The sender then screws into that. Is there somewhere else I can fit the sender (thread size is 1/8" NPT)? Apart from up me arse! If not, can any one recommend a place to get one (ebay link, etc.) 3. The AFR gauge sensor wire goes to the ECU o2 connection, but there are two of these on our lovely cars! What's the best way to wire this up? Is it possible to get an average over the two sensors, or do I have to put a toggle switch in to switch between left and right sensors? 4. All the gauges have a dimmer/+12v to dim wire, that according to the instructions "connects to headlight to activate". Which wire do I need to connect this one to? Think that's the lot..lol Any help/advice is greatly appreciated Cheers Dave
  22. Welcome matey :)
