  1. Awesome mate that's even funnier than I first thought! Apart from my stomach muscles and back, the daftest thing I've done lately is drop a 10mm socket while under the car and the barstewerd went right up (or down) my nose. Had to come out from under the car and snot it out.
  2. It would be fine for changing a wheel etc, but I wouldn't want to lift the whole front end with it. I use a 3 tonne Clark Pro trolley jack that does the job with ease.
  3. You've missed it mate..
  4. lol. Thought I was going to have to get my dad to crane me out of the engine bay.
  5. Cant get in the bath at the mo. lol I'm loaded up with Voltarol and paracetamol so it only hurts when I move.
  6. Never!!!
  7. Let me guess. You did a Brian Harvey and ran yourself over while being sick after eating to many baked spuds  I would have spent the day in my engine bay but knacked me back and had to wuss out :chris:
  8. I am getting old matey
  9. Cheers folks it's still giving me gip. Vods: No problem mate.
  10. Cheers for the link mate, looks like just what I'm after :thumbup1:
  11. I managed to pull a couple of muscles in my stomach the other day while remove the autobox and engine. I've got a very high pain threshold, so I just carried on working. Well, today I was in the engine bay removing the old HICAS lines and my back went, It took bleeding ages to manage to climb out of the bay and now I'm proper fooked and can't move at all. I slipped a disc a good few years ago so I know what it's like :pinch: The bit that pee's me off is that the weather is great and I could have got loads done, instead I'm in agony and can't move.... :wheelchair:
  12. Is the PS cooler really needed, or is it another Nissan over engineering thing? My one is basically a pile of rust, so I was thinking about deleting it and then joining the two little pipes on the PAS pot together. Would this be ok? I've already ditched the HICAS so the PS fluid is only working the steering.
  13. I would mate but my zed is off the road and I don't really know anything about wheel offsets.
  14. Car.Mad and Dazvert are both girlies
  15. cheers bud. I've had a close look at the rad and it does appear that the bottom left corner is darker than the rest. So from what you say, that is probable where the leak is.
  16. Not sure then mate. I'm in Huntingdon.
  17. White smoke is normally caused by moisture in the system, I'm not sure but it sounds like a head gasket problem. PCV and turbos smoke is blue and smells of oil.
  18. Just noticed the update. Congrats mate:pint:
  19. When you say it's leaking do you mean brake fluid is coming out or are you referring to a vacuum leak? If it's fluid then it is coming from the master cylinder seals, you may be able to get a seal kit from MJP and refurb it. If it's a vacuum leak then its the brake booster that's the problem. These aren't repairable and it will have to be replaced. HTH
  20. ooh, the fun you could have with that. lol I bet you've pretended to be the Predator, haven't ya
  21. You can check the motor by connecting it directly to 12v.
  22. Very lucky person  http://uk.news.yahoo.com/4/20110406/video/vwl-driver-miraculously-escapes-being-im-15af341.html
