Cheers folks. Primed them today following above procedure then ran the engine for a little while. I'm getting great oil pressure and no smoke coming out :sailor:

Yes mate, you normally don't have to lift the car but it takes the strain of your tyres and allows you to turn the wheel quicker :)

No problem there then. I would recheck the tightness of the connections you have replaced/removed. I had a problem when bleeding my brakes that I couldn't get all the air out but it wasn't leaking. It turned out that one connection wasn't quite tight enough, it wouldn't let fluid out but was sucking air in.

Just finished rebuilding the mechanical side of my UK, just body work and a bit on the interior to do now. Thankfully no rust :)
