What are the signs that an o2 sensor is failing?
The connections are nice and shiny mate :sailor: I'll get one of Mr F's nice new o2 sensors and get it replaced. Thanks for your help bud.

As vods mentioned, you haven't really said anything about how she is feeling. She may well be suffering from post natel depression where sex is probably the last thing on her mind. Talk to her, rebuild your relationship and don't pressure her in to sex. If your feeling strong urges for sex then get the right hand going after all that's what it's for! You have a child and it is now the most important thing in your lives, it's certainly not worth risking for the sake of a ten minute knee trembler in an alley next to the pub mate.

What are the signs that an o2 sensor is failing?
Couldn't sleep again last night  so I read the Conzult manual from page to page a few times. I now have a better understanding of the signals I should be getting etc.. I got Conzult on today and brought the revs up to 2100. Right hand o2 was pulsing nicely but left hand stood at a steady 0.32v and didn't move. So, unless I'm reading it wrong, the left hand o2 is faulty and needs to be replaced. ECU diag code was 55 so the ECU can talk to the sensor.

What are the signs that an o2 sensor is failing?
Not yet, will do in the morning. Just finding it a bit odd that the voltage on one is stable but the other one is all over the place.

What are the signs that an o2 sensor is failing?
Thanks for that, makes sense. The bit I'm confused about is the ECU reading code34 and conzult not showing any voltage on the 02 sensor for two days, I tried unplugging cleaning the connector etc but still nothing. As soon as I replaced the ECU for a chipped one then the code 34 vanishes and hasn't come back and the o2 is showing voltage but it is not steady and is spiking about 3 times a sec (approx)? Unfortunatley the car can't be taken for a drive yet as I've still got a lot of work to do on it. Should I just bite the bullet and replace the o2 sensor based on the odd readings from conzult? The right o2 is holding a steady voltage and not moving.

What are the signs that an o2 sensor is failing?
Bit of an odd one bare with me and I'll try and explain it. Bit of background first; Car is at stage 1 (decats, apexi filter, Blitz SBC, i'll get to ecu in a mo). I ran the car with the original stock ECU and was getting code 34 and NO reading from the left hand o2 sensor. I put the det down to upgrades and standard ECU. But I was a bit confused about the dead o2 sensor. Anyway, today I changed the ECU to a JWT chipped one and set the TPS to 0.46v. Ran Conzult again and was getting code 55, which was a relief. The timing also settled at 15 from 23 once the engine had got up to temp. Now the odd bit; The lefthand o2 had come to life but the voltage reading on it was jumping about all over the place  Is this a sign that the sensor is dying and should be replaced, or do I have another problem?

just a quick Q about EGR
Should be Ok but there is also a pipe going the pass side downpipe that will need to be capped off.

are imports better looking and faster?
Stock for stock then i would say yes the JDM is slightly better looking due to the rear bumper. Speed wise a big no since jdms are restricted to 113mph and uk's to 155mph. That said, that bloke is a tool.....

Preparation for conversion
Yeah, the wiring is a bit confusing. I found the starter thingy in the drivers wing and soldered them together. Then removed the relay. Got there in the end :)

It is a great feeling isn't it mate, well done :punk:

Preparation for conversion
Can't link to threads mate but have a look at the ECU pinout diagram in the FAQ section. Don't know what colour it is but it's defenitly pin 44 you want. And, yes what you've done will be fine.

Lower Arm Ball Joint Bush
I'm pretty sure that you can get the front ball joint as a seperate item. Just need to get the old one pressed out and new one put in. Have a word with Mr F at MJP, he'll be able to sort you out mate.

Preparation for conversion
Simply plug the loom into the neutral switch on the box run the wires upto the ecu. Black goes to ground other wire is soldered to pin 44. Job done mate.
