Basically no it isn't right. The idle when warm should be 750 yours is a little high at 850. Check your tps voltage is between 0.4 & 0.5 (ideal is 0.44). If it's outside this then you need to adjust it. Once you've checked/adjusted the tps then you need to check the IAA base idle. (search for Base idle adjustment to tell you how to do this).

Thanks for all the repsonses folks. I've tried removing the rear seat and qtr but I can't get at the dent from behind as there are other skins in the way, luckily these haven't been touched. The main dent hasn't stretched the metal and should pull out ok but as Jeff said it will still need a skim of filler to finish off. The hole was me attempting to pull it out with a slide hammer, soon gave up with that idea lol. The metal in that area has been stretched :oops: I think I'll feel much better about the car when I get that bit fixed and some paint on it. Daz :ban: :tt2:

It's not going to be a show and shine mate so no worries there. The colour is staying black but at the moment it's GL1, which Nissan no longer support. I will be changing it to KH3 black which is a slightly different shade.

Don't know yet mate, I'm thinking in the region of 1.5Kish.

Following on from my prepping the zed for paint thread; I've taken some pictures of the dent on the pass side rear qtr. I could fix it myself with the worlds supply of filler but that would probably only end in tears. lol. I'd much rather that a body shop pulled it out as much as possible and then filled whats left. How much roughly would I be looking at to have this pulled and filled by a bodyshop? I don't need it painted as the car is getting a respray. Or would it be cheaper to cut out and replace with another rear qtr of a breaker? I'm thinking that it would be better to replace the dented sill with a new panel anyway. The door is being replaced so not worried about that. Cheers steams

Yeah, the AC belt just drives the ac compressor. The only bugger side is that it's the belt that goes on first, so to replace you will have to remove the ps and alt belts first. If your not bothered by A/C then you don't need to worry about it.

Was it that you had your hat on to tight and it was cutting of circulation to your brain??

Worth checking the drain plug is nice and tight.

Thanks for all the help folks. I'll have a word with the body shop (when I find one) and see what the recommend. What other paint options are there other than 2K? and what are the pro's and cons?

It's only going from GL1 black to KH3 black so won't really notice the doors.

I'm just getting the outside and targa slots done mate. that's a bloody good point Groover, I haven't got a body shop yet but I was wanting the paint to be 2k. Is it possible to spray the car with a barrier coat to stop the rattle's messing with the 2k? I've got a modest compressor that is fine for spraying, so should I just buy some 2k high fill primer and do it that way?

Sounds like that could be a right laugh. we could also do a modified version for people that have tuned their cars.
