Daft question but why the tape on the lights?

Got this email from a poor chap that's seems to be stuck abroad :( I'm writing this with tears in my eyes, my family and I came down here to Lucena,Philippines for a short vacation,unfortunately we were mugged at the park of the hotel where we stayed all cash,credit card and mobile phone were stolen off us but luckily we still have our passports with us. We've been to the Embassy and the Police here but they're not helping issues at all the bad news is our flight will be leaving in less than 8-hrs from now but we're having problems settling the hotel bills and the hotel manager won't let us leave until we settle the bills. Am freaked out at the moment! I'll need your help (LOAN) financially. I promise to make the refund once we get back home. me too :) Plus the SNES, N64, MAME, Spectrum, CBM64, Atari 8 bit and ST, CBM Amiga etc.etc. I was massively into retro gaming on emulators :)

Sweet. I loved MGS on the ps one. I had an old ps emulator for the PC called Bleem I think but it was crap.. lol

If you do it yourself it is possible but as you say a garage would be adding at least £500 labour on top.

That's a very tricky question Pete... lol The manual is definitely more desirable and therefore can command a higher price. Two zeds in exactly the same spec and condition I would say the manual may be worth upto £500 - £600 more. But that said an auto with a new or rebuilt box would probably be worth more than a manual with an old box. I don't know if a factory manual would be worth more than a converted auto (assuming the conversion is done properly) but I guess it would be to the purist. So in summary, I haven't got a clue :(

As Jimmer says, if in doubt get it done. The manual says 60k OR 5 years which ever comes first.

That's a good temp. Marine's suffer from temp changes quite badly don't they? Will your coral recover? I'll stick to my tropicals I think, much eaiser.lol I got 3 Distichodus Afinnis now and they are brilliant at the moment :)

Cheers for that mate, I'll leave it running that way for a while then turn it round and see if it's any better. I'd need to strip it down to reverse the flow as the fixings only allow a 90deg movement.

Hi mate, I bought an azoo 4 fan cooler for my tank. It's all fitted up but it's blowing air into the tank. Is this right? I was expecting it to suck warm air out rather than blow cold air in as this is a much more efficient way of cooling. Cheers bud.

No worries mate, as mentioned above the fitment issue is with the autobox oilpan sometimes getting in the way. Nothing that a bit of fettling can't solve :)

I keep making stupid spelling mistakes tonight, if it gets any worse I'll be nearly as bad as Car.Mad. :laugh:
