Still got this headlight problem (been about 3 months now)! dim on one side, bright on the other! fuses are fine, relays seem fine, however when you pull out one of the relays all the lights go out, but if u pull out the other one they dont go out, does that mean no power is reaching it???? dunno if this makes sense, kinda hard to explain it all in words! getting to the point where ive had enough now and considering my future with the zed! :mad:

anyone got a diagram on how to remove the headlights?

ive had the kitt comment once on my black ZED, but she was really fit so i let her off! then gave her a lift home, then i rode her in the night and i became knightrider!!!

how much were the NAs?

ive had mine 4 months and ive had a few issues too, nothing too major but im getting fed up too!! fords here i come back!!! maybe!!!!

i do agree, cant beat a turbo, what would u say is quicker though, 300zx or cossie?

i would have kept the sierra, a guy i know recently bought an RS500 in white ( no 33 ) with 9000 miles, its immaculate, he paid £29,000 for it!

ive had 3 escorts and 1 fiesta, absolutely love em, but always fancied a 300ZX! not sure what im gonna do!

ive still got this pain in the ars* problem with my headlights, and im thinking if i dont get it sorted in the next month or so im gonna just get rid of the dam thing and go back to an RS turbo which is a lot easier and cheaper to work on, and probably quicker too!:mad:

havent tried that mate, ideally i would like to try some other relays before i buy some just to be sure, but i dont know of anyone around here with a 300zx, my mate has a 200sx, would the relays be the same?

ok here goes, i hope all this will kinda make sense, a few weeks ago i had a flat battery as my lights came on by themselves! when i first got the car ( in september ) i noticed that in the morning when i turned my lights on, the drivers side would be dim, but after a few minutes it would kick in and be fine, now its always dim, the N/S round light is on bright, the O/S square lamp is dim and the O/S round and N/S square lamp are slightly glowing, ( all side lights are fine )!. i checked the obvious such as bulbs and fuses which were fine, had my relays checked at work and im told they are fine too! we thought it could be an earth, when i put an earth wire to the O/S square lamp it made it go out and the N/S square lamp came on really bright! the other day when i was at work, my lights decided to come on by themselves again, and they kept going on and off so i had to pull the relays out! after work we took it into the workshop so one of the engineers could look at it, after fiddling with everything ( wires, relays, bulbs, swapping things around etc ) there was no change, we were about to give up when suddenly while the car was running and the lights were on, they went back to normal ( both round lights on and square lights out ) only thing that wasnt right was that when you flashed it, the O/S was still dim! however the next day it was back to how it was! im not sure if i need an electrician or a priest!

i assume its the actual petrol pump symbol in the fuel gauge that is suppose to light up?

still trying to sort my headlight fault, i think there should be an earthwire by the relay box, however on mine its not there? where should this wire go to? as i explained in a previous thread, my headlights are playing up, one is dim, the other is ok, i have checked the bulbs and they are fine, i also checked the relays, i pulled both relays out and tried swapping them around, both relays seem to be ok as they ok in one of the relay sockets but not the other! any ideas??? hope this all makes sense!

i didnt know there was a fuel light either, mine is an import, would it have one????

still having trouble with my headlights, want to check the relays but they are quite hard to pull out and im worried about braking something, is there a knack to pulling them out?

good luck with this one mate, i had this the other week, my headlights have been playing up since, still dont know what the problem is!!!!

this might sound daft, but if i run a temporary earth, where do i connect it from, is it on the cluster somewhere?? back of the bulb?

except putting all those things on Ebay would take forever!!!taking pictures, uploading them etc!!
