Deffo going. Leaving silly O'clock Thursday morning, coming back Sunday night and will be taking my Z.
  3. It could also be tracking. Too much toe out would lead to inner edge wearing.
  4. Never had much trouble with mine, except when the oil is brand new and still clean.
  5. That may be a Mod only option.
  6. Series I and II are different. Series II doesn't report outside temp.
  7. Sorry, I had no intention of donating ~£100 to MicroShaft for a test system ! ;)
  8. In most cases this will work. You may need to reconfig the BIOS (as Stu suggests) to set the new clock speed etc.
  9. Mine is done with the shortcut method (more or less). Having the bleed nipple at the highest point allows the air to come out rather than stay trapped in the cylinder. Never personally heard of a knackered slave cylinder but I wouldn't rule it out. Question I suppose is, Was it working when the donor car was broken ? Probably ... While you're faffing around down there somebody made up a batch of braided clutch lines, much better than the rubber or solid ones.

If his was the red one with the silver flames then I saw it. No fans for the front, no exhaust gas sensor in the pipes, warm muggy day - I would have been scared ! Rev'd up ok, didn't sound great though, and the smoke from under the bonnet ....
  11. Where did you get it ? I think my dual processor machine may like it ....
  12. I've seen what's in Russ' shed and it didn't look much like a Barbie to me. In fact if there was then she would have been on the menu !

Can make alternate (more or less) weekends in Chester.
  14. Champion C109, they also do a Halfords own brand but I wouldn't touch it. If you find a decent motor factor (I use MotorQuip) they will have a suitable filter and hopefully Morris 10/50 fully synth oil.
  15. This may help ... http://www.300zx.org.uk/nissan_bulletin.htm
  16. It's very easy to get air trapped in the slave cylinder, especially if you don't have the additional external bleed tube attached (I don't). I found that the best trick is to unbolt the slave when you bleed it and turn it such that the bleed nipple is at the highest point. Obvioulsy, you also need to stop the piston being pushed out too far.
  17. OK, thanks. Will you be looking after his trader section or does Steve have a userid of his own ? Also need to know website URL and brief description for the business. Just pm me the details so I dont lose it.
  18. Got a traders sub cheque from you - who are you ?
  19. There is one short hose that Smithy doesn't replace, it's towards the back of the plenum, just on the passenger side of centre IIRC.

Yes, that is normal - and you shouldn't remove the rad cap when it's hot !
  21. Somebody must have a diagram for wiring up a speedo convertor. And I'd also like a scan of it up on my site ....
  22. The description of changes looks suspiciously similar to that of JWT's. Also that pic is not of a 1989-1994 Z ECU - probably doesn't matter as it's just a pic ! Some good info on that site though. The PCV relocation sounds interesting - shame the detail is missing.
  23. You do need to add £10-12 per tyre for fitting though.
  24. I have used Lepsons in the past and they did a fine job. Try Spit n Polish, they're in Tonbridge and I've also sucessfully used them.
  25. Spell checquer is definitley a gud ideer. Club email addresses are already "on the cards" Maybe I don't understand, buy why do we need a chatroom when there is MSN, Yahoo etc ? We do need to be a little wary of bandwidth issues, but aside from that, keep the ideas coming in.
