  1. Plus Gas is what you need, (WD40 is not a penetrating oil). Impact driver if you have one, or a bit of heat from a blowlamp, plus of course a decent extension bar.
  2. Corsodyl actually stains your teeth ! Read the instructions/warnings on the bottle. If you don't actually need it, eg for gingivitis etc, then you are probably better off using a 'normal' mouthwash like Listerine.
  3. The full list of parts are here :- http://300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=56187
  4. This years chilli harvest.
  5. Like others this thread only just came to my attention. So lets bygones be bygones and look to the future.
  6. My advice has always been the the trader one covers it.
  7. OK, sounds like you can't go wrong with the timing, that's the way I do it too. If the neutral switch is not wired correctly, then you will have timing about 10 degrees off from base if I remember correctly. Can't remember what you have to do now -try a search, I've certainly written on it before. I think the only certain way to know if the belt is out is by looking at the marks on it - Jeff may have another suggestion.
  8. If the CAS is a long way off the usual position and the electronic timing is done correctly (eg no auto/man gearbox conversion probs and the correct timing loop is used) then I'd guess the timing belt is a tooth out.
  9. Perhaps you have a coilpack failing - that leads to some unburnt fuel in the exhaust. I think I have a similar problem at the moment. (well I did the last time it was driven !)
  10. The only thing they do is light up the warning light on the dashboard, no connection to the ECU as far as I'm aware.
  11. These are the cat temp sensors. They can be unscrewed and pushed up though the holes in the floorpan if the cats are removed.
  12. One word: "Why?" Aside from that " ...weighs a ton. Approx 22.8 grams"
  13. At a guess this is a Series I / II difference not a UK / Jap. Do you know what month the '92 car was ? Series II started around August although some Series I parts were still being used later in the year.
  14. It does come in an aerosol, but more commonly found in a can with a small screw-on spout.
  15. WD40 is no good, you need Plus Gas.
  16. See here :- http://300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=93434&highlight=hub
  17. I had the same problem with the passenger side - it took quite extraordinary violence to separate the driveshaft from the hub.

  19. Mine is an E46 Touring, 184bhp, remapped to 214bhp and 350ft/lb torque - lotsa fun. Go for a manual, the autos have a bit of a reputation of giving up.
  20. Mine is a 2002 which has now racked up almost 160K. Cheap to buy now, need very little servicing (cam chain not cam belt!) and still does 40MPG.
  21. Yep - a very satisfying car to drive.
  22. Not seen one quite like that before, but the ECU is a TT Auto (90/08 - 92/08). Any chance it's got HKS T3G turbos with 440 injectors ?
  23. Happy Birthday Mike.
  24. 30 litres of fuel will weigh almost 30Kg, so given the accuracy of the track weighbridge, which I suspect could be 5% out then you won't be far wrong.
  25. Well written ad and just love the "thing" stuck on the front of the car ! ;)
