  3. thanks, do you know if they are a direct fit, for instance if i got 2x gtir t28 turbos with 4 bolt downpipe connection? im basically trying to get 2 at the moment from the UK as i need them this week.
  4. what does clocked mean?
  5. where can pulleys be found/ bought.
  6. arent the turbos from these a direct fit onto the 300zx too ;-)
  7. or your timing is off. :-)
  8. take them to a garage and pay the 20 quid man. :-) bloody hell.
  9. cant see the video if you uploaded one marty, but s13s are quick mate. well lightly modded ones are. :-)
  10. wasnt a threat. the guy called me a muppet. very disrespectful, just letting him know, theres no reason to talk to people like that.
  11. joley P watch you mouth. not the kinda guy that takes direct insults lightly, and yes there is a video on here of the cars in question, having the 'race' in question.
  12. i love how even with video proof this debate remains, and some of you are so ignorant to the obvious truth.
  13. see the video above for all of you doubters. TOLD YOU.
  14. GONZO meet tonight in Newmarket, take you NA or TT up there, and ask for a tuned civic to race you down the a14. then repost here how sorry you are.
  15. s13 depends what you call fast. sure a 500hp TT is quick so to speak. but just for having 500hp doesnt mean its stupidly fast. i have a few mustangs in the club with 500hp, but theyre not fast, poweful yes, fast no. now friend of mine, has a 680hp supra single turbo, now that car IS FAST. BMW M3 e46. quick, fast NO 300zx TT on 1 bar boost, quick yes, fast NO just to give you an idea of what i call fast.
  16. you people on here are very biased. just because we own these cars, doesnt mean we have to say theyre really that great. FFS most of us are weekly if not daily having problems, and this forum is crammed with post about faluts/problems/stuff not working/ bad turbos/ duff engines etc. so lets be realistic, yes we like these cars, but there are actually pretty cr*p most of the time. standard vs standard, yes im for the TT but a 240hp civic, as in the question. is not something id consider a 'walkover' in a standard TT. now a TT on 1bar or plus, yea, i think would walk it. but on 1 bar, a TT has had about 800-1000 spent on it by that point.
  17. vodkashots..... beat an R8.......... i think now you see what i mean, about these stupid claims. and R8......... beat it...... a 4.2 V8 churning out over 400hp was beat by a 300zx...... i think youve had to many vodka shots.
  18. have to disagree massively here. luckily im part of a HUGE 200+ car modified car club, with car from civics to mustangs in it. I know 1st hand, how fast these car can be with various mods, i even have a buddy with a turbod civic putting down 12s a few weeks ago at the pod. i never said ive raced my Z against these cars, but i do know the capabilitys of the Z, have had 3 of them, and had 4 different turbo kits ranging from a 280hp standard z to my current car over 500hp when i bought it. (dyno sheets) bills and the garrett t28s to prove it. my engine is healthy and was rebuilt less than a year ago with forged internals. Alz/ Gonzo/ Osty/ king and any of the East Anglia guys you willing to find out 1st hand how stupidly quick these ' slow' civics are, happily come by one wednesday and i will introduce you to a new opinion, any of the rest of you non beleives, let me know when you can get over to East Anglia or to Santa pod, would love to see you faces after these cars light up. now, im not talking about 17-20 year old lads with induction kits, and big exhausts, these cars are mainly owned by military folks with deep pockets and extensive tuning knowledge. for the rest of you saying 140 is easily and quickly passed, i think this is just down to what you think is quick. yes i know 300zx's can do 160 odd, but quickly...... NOPE. (watch the 180mph Z video on here) that isnt what i call fast.
  19. my car is fine, been in many a z's, dont rate them grately speed wise. take a look at the 1/4 mile times. there really not that fast, even modified to over 400hp. there still in mid to high 13s.... really wish all these stories would stop getting posted about smoked this beat that, it really depends on the other driver and how much they try, how even the race was, how well driven, etc. too many variables, as for beating a vx220. i have no idea, as ive not experienced one, but i have been in a 270hp VXR, that i think would eat your z's up. get down to santa pod gents. we can settle these queories properly, dont under estimate other people cars either, big mistake. power to weight and power delivary are EVERYTHING!
  20. take a look, very interesting.
  21. 170 in a TT is not something that goes by easily 140 isnt even 'easily' achived, look on youtube for the RAF runs. as posted here. dont worry about numbers, it how power is delivered, an nsx put out only 280-320 hp but yet that can whoop most cars, from porches to rs4's with 400odd hp.. these cars a very fast, and once revved they go amazingly well, the Z's really arent that fast. yes i like the z for what it is, but its hardly a drag monster. most tuned cars can see them off.
  22. dont count on it. lots of tuned cars round these ways. many make 120 go by pretty easily.
