10w/40 is the recommended oil, however try and find some posts by oilman, there was one that showed the pro's and con's of varying oil grades but as a general answer 10w/40 is fine i'd go for the oem filter, or a wix branded one though Hth

my tweed was not the best, an auto valet brought it back to life a bit, but removal and a proper deep clean would be better

Lets keep this on track now all, as said everyone has there own (OPINION) on what a good Z32 looks like, however we do seem to be going round in circles a bit here this thread was started by Si to gauge opinion on paintwork Si although i initially went for the blue i am leaning more towards the super white pearl now :)

Someone asked me if my Z was a Silvia once:cool:, they are nice cars though always liked them :) and that one is stunning !

How loud is the tapping?, mine had a slight tapping noise upon purchase due to being parked up for a while, but was soon rectified with decent oil and i also put some wynns hydraulic valve lifter treatment in, followed by a oil change again 3000 mls later not saying you have the same issue though but i'd try an oil change with a good quality oil first and see how it goes after a decent run etc Oh and as regards insurance, there are a fair few threads on the matter with company details and no's to boot :) if you cant find what you want there then feel free to ask Chris
